2015 QB Class Vs 2016 and 2017

Postby mjsa1967 » Wed Apr 01, 2015 2:45 am

I have Big Ben and Nick Foles as my two QBs in a standard scoring dynasty league. I also have the 1.03, 2.04, 2.10 picks in the rookie draft this year. I was curious if people have evaluated the 2016 QB class for depth in comparison to 2015. I'm not sure I'm sold at WInston or Mariota to draft, and there's drop off after that. I've actually have read somewhere they rate some of the performance and physical tools of Huntley as a higher prospect than Winston and Mariota. I'm just not convinced of the 2015 class and thought I should wait for prospects in 2016. What do you think?

There's more depth in 2016/2017, IMO. There's a lot of guys that have first round upside. The question, of course, is who emerges.

If Cardale Jones puts together a full season that matches what he did in the last three games of the season, he surges past Mariota and Winston as a prospect. He just has a small sample size at this point, and may still lose the job to Barrett.

I'm on board with Jared Goff. Has shown great improvement and spray the football all around the field. He may be a 2017 guy since he needs time to physically mature.

I like Jeremy Johnson. Should break out this year with Nick Marshall moving on. Has elite tools and an offense that piles up points.

Have not given up on Christian Hackenberg, but he needs to make this his year. Plenty of tools and offense around him much improved.

Connor Cook...meh.

I like Brad Kaaya long-term. Had potential to sneak into 2017 group.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I have 1.08, 1.10, 2.04, 2.08, 2.10 in the 2015 draft to rebuild a failing team I just took over in one league. I have Tony Romo and Andy Dalton in that league, so I can probably wait a year but I feel uncomfortable waiting past 2016. Do you think it would be better to go with Winston or Mariota with 1.10 in 2015 in the hopes one of them develops or wait till 2016 and stock up on WR and RB - where I am weak on both accounts.
