Completed Rookie Drafts

Postby TheBum » Sun Jun 28, 2015 4:55 pm

Would any of you care to share the links to your leagues that would show the forum how your Rookie Drafts went? Curious as a guy who owns 4 picks in the top 12.

Cheers.
I’m just here to not get wrecked in trades.

Couldn't link you. Too lazy to clean this up for you, but wanted to share in case it helps. Good luck, and don't expect Gurley to fall like that.

1.01 - Amari Cooper - Team Wilson - WR wins the tiebreaker, and i was burned by T-rich, so F the RB position
1.02 - Kevin White - Team Syndrome
1.03 - Melvin Gordon - Team Rebuilding
1.04 - Devante Parker - Team Next Year
1.05 - Todd Gurley - Team 2nd place
1.06 - Nelson Agholor - Team SEES
1.07 - Breshad Perriman - Team Wilson - I wanted to trade back, but wasn't getting decent offers, his upside is nice and hope that worst case, he is Torrey
1.08 - Tevin Coleman - Team 2017
1.09 - TJ Yeldon - Team Cooks
1.10 - Ameer Abdullah - Team Bye
1.11 - Dorial Green-Beckham - Team Cooks
1.12 - Phillip Dorsett - Team 2017

2.01 - Devin Funchess - Team Wilson - Kelvin being overweight and injured, and him being the clear #2 is what stood out. I buy/sell a lot
2.02 - Jaelen Strong - Team Syndrome
2.03 - Jay Ajayi - Team Wilson - Pseudo reach, but pre-NFL draft, he was the 3rd/4th best RB. I'll take my chance on bone/bone concerns, and i hate the Browns
2.04 - Duke Johnson - Team London
2.05 - David Johnson - Team Deflate
2.06 - Jameis Winston - Team 2017
2.07 - David Cobb - Team Next Year
2.08 - Marcus Mariota - Team Manning
2.09 - Maxx Williams - Team London
2.10 - Matt Jones - Team Wilson - i traded back from 2.07 and picked up 3.06 in the process. I was playing the numbers game at this point and taking who i'd be sad about if they didn't fall to my next pick, even if they are a reach. Like i think i could've gotten him at the turn, but why gamble??
2.11 - Tyler Lockett - Team syndromes
2.12 - Devin Smith - Team Wilson - Was hoping both Lockett and Smith would be here. Smith isn't in a great place, but it was only a bad place for skill positions pre-firing of Rex. I'll take the 2nd rd pick and see what happens ala Jarvis Landry. The team has show great capability so far at trading and gaining assets.

3.01 - Sammie Coates - Team Wilson - Total reach, but i put the leftover RBs on the same tier, and I could see the steelers letting Antonio go if BOTH coates and bryant do well. Last time there was a contract dispute, Wallace left, and Antonio became the man. Coates at least has pedigree and can hopefully learn to not be stone-handed. Can't ask for much this late in the draft can i? I thought about RB, just to trade mid year, but i broke down and am hoping to hit on another Landry/Martavis type
3.02 - Josh Robinson - Team Cooks
3.03 - Javorius "Buck" Allen - Team Next Year
3.04 - Justin Hardy - Team Wilson - Still don't care about RBs in a rebuild, and he had better college stats than Conley. They got rid of Harry Douglas who saw lots of targets, Julio/Roddy can never stay healthy, and Roddy has to go sometime. Prayers for the potential.
3.05 - Mike Davis - Team Cooks
3.06 - Jeremy Langford - Team Wilson - Okay, at this point, how do i pass on him. The Forte owner is stingy and won't trade for backups. I hope this isn't 2.0 of whomever that backup RB is.... so bad that i can't remember him
3.07 - Chris Conley - Team London
3.08 - Cameron Artis-Payne - Team Manning
3.09 - DeAndre Smelter - Team SEES
3.10 - John Crockett - Team Bye
3.11 - Kenny Bell - Team Next Year
3.12 - Hasn't picked yet .... but i didn't really care
Team 1 - 25 Player - .5 PPR: QB - Wilson
RB - JStew, Roy Helu, CJ Spiller, D Robinson, Riddick, Herron, MattJones, Langford, Ajayi
WR - Mi Floyd, K Wright, Cha Johnson, M Colston, V Cruz , C Shorts, Jo Brown, P Richardson, Cooper, D Adams, D Inman, Perriman, Funchess, D Smith, Coates, Hardy
TE - J Cameron, G Escobar, L Green, M Rivera

Team 2 - 28 player, Full PPR, Qb, 2xrb, 3xwr, te, flex, flex
QB - Brees, Dalton
RB - Lacy, DMartin, Freeman, Benny, CJ?k, Oliver, Polk, 2xWest, JRobinson, Shoelace, Khiry
WR - Dez, Megatron, AJG, Landry, ChJohnson, Crabtree, Cruz, Wheaton
TE- Rudolph, Cook, Rivera

I'm in a similar situation as you. I have picks 1, 2, 7, 8, 11. Torn on what to do at 2 between Gurley/White.

1.01 1. New Hampshire Wildcats (Rich) Gordon, Melvin SDC RB (R) Biggest need and playing it safe at #1.
1.02 2. Castle Pine Crusaders (Stephen) Gurley, Todd STL RB (R) Supposed best running back since AP. Fitting since I have AP on the roster.
1.03 3. New Hampshire Wildcats (Rich) Cooper, Amari OAK WR (R) Young stud WR to go with my other stud WR's!
1.04 4. Thundercats (Michael) White, Kevin CHI WR (R) Feel he is the 2nd best WR in the draft so getting him here is a solid price
1.05 5. New Hampshire Wildcats (Rich) Yeldon, T.J. JAC RB (R) 3 down back on an improving offense. Another guy I can plug in immediately.
1.06 6. Castle Pine Crusaders (Stephen) Parker, DeVante MIA WR (R) Great WR. Will be the best one on the Miami roster.
1.07 7. Castle Pine Crusaders (Stephen) Abdullah, Ameer DET RB (R) I hope I didnt choose the wrong RB here. I had to go with the guy I have been looking at since the NFL draft.

2.01 13. GravytrainExpress (Matt) Green-Beckham, Dorial TEN WR (R) talented knucklehead
2.02 14. K-Town Bears (Jim) Johnson, Duke CLE RB (R) best player on the board
2.03 15. Castle Pine Crusaders (Stephen) Winston, Jameis TBB QB (R) Got to go with the number 1 overall pick. I have to say though, I have bad luck drafting QB's. Means he will probably be a bust.
2.04 16. GravytrainExpress (Matt) Mariota, Marcus TEN QB (R)
2.05 17. New Hampshire Wildcats (Rich) Cobb, David TEN RB (R) Tough choice on the remaining RB's. Gonna go with the power running game.
2.06 18. Thundercats (Michael) Dorsett, Phillip IND WR (R) hope not taking Strong here does not come Bach to haunt me
2.07 19. Dirty Bastards (Joe) Strong, Jaelen HOU WR (R)
2.08 20. K-Town Bears (Jim) Johnson, David ARI RB (R) 3ed running back this draft man what am i doing
2.09 21. Thundercats (Michael) Jones, Matt WAS RB (R) best RB on the board....
2.10 22. West St Paul Jets (Gurpreet) Allen, Javorius BAL RB (R)
2.11 23. New Hampshire Wildcats (Rich) Williams, Maxx BAL TE (R) This late in the draft its hard to pass up. See you in 2016 Maxx!
2.12 24. GravytrainExpress (Matt) Artis-Payne, Cameron CAR RB (R)

3.09 33. Awesomeness (Jason) Grayson, Garrett NOS QB (R)
3.10 34. New Hampshire Wildcats (Rich) Diggs, Stefon MIN WR (R) ODB 2.0
3.11 35. Dirty Bastards (Joe) Bell, Kenny TBB WR (R)
3.12 36. New Hampshire Wildcats (Rich) Walford, Clive OAK TE (R) Think this guy will end up being better than Williams.
