Noticing a Coleman rise and Gordon fall the last month, and nothing has changed in the past month except roto blurbs. Not knocking the pick, just seems only recently it's kinda catching across DLF. Weird.

It's because people are starting to see Gordon's flaws more. Coleman is an all around good back. Gordon has a lot more deficiencies then people realized at first.
I have Coleman as my number 2 back as well. There is definitely something there for the masses to start shifting.

What has happened since the combine to make this happen? Again, I'm not knocking your rankings at all, I just don't get what happened. His monster season lost it's luster? I get alot of movement in picks like 18-40, purely because people that aren't addicts like we need time to get past the 1st rd prospects eval and film. Gordon had a monster year, and was the 1.01 for maybe 2 months. Coleman was going early 2nd a month ago. Now he's 1.05. It's not like Perriman where he ripped up his proday and shot up boards. This was just out of nowhere, well after combine, no news, no injuries, no drug tests. Coleman in his own right has flaws to expose on film also, so I cant buy people starting seeing Gordon's flaws and only Coleman's strengths.
Or are you just the pied piper in all this and it's finally come to fruition.

Re: Rookie Draft #7
For those that laugh at Coleman picked at 1.05 and ask what has caused Coleman's rise...
He's been my #2 RB for a while. Several scouts clocked him at sub-4.4 during his a 40. I don't put much stock in pro day numbers since they always seem improve over the combine numbers, but Coleman is a legit sprinter and it shows on film. Aside from pro days & film watching, look at the Coleman v Gordon stats vs common opponents. Coleman's numbers were better than Gordon's while on a much worse offense.

Re: Rookie Draft #7
I just want to reiterate, I am not knocking the pick, or the #2 RB label. My rankings in it's own are not consensus by any means. If you have him pegged there and have for months, kudos. I just find it off that nothing happened newsworthy and it's starting to look like not only is Coleman leapfrogging to #2RB from maybe #4-7? to #5 OVERALL. Perriman becomes the fastest man on the planet, he jumps 8 spots or so. Coleman visits teams, he jumps 8 spots. Is he that high because that's where Gordon was and he becomes leapfrogged at position and overall draft slot? I find it interesting.stewss7 wrote:For those that laugh at Coleman picked at 1.05 and ask what has caused Coleman's rise...

Re: Rookie Draft #7
No perfect answer. I think the more you watch, you see that Coleman has perhaps been undervalued more than anything else. He is fast (maybe slightly slower than Gordon and I am talking about game speed not clocked times). He makes better decisions when finding the hole (IMO), plus he runs tougher. I also think his pass blocking is better than Gordon's and he is comparable as a receiver out of the backfield.
From a fantasy perspective, people might think what Coleman did at Indiana, is more impressive than what Gordon did at Wisconsin based upon surrounding talent.
Coleman averaged the same amount of yards (7.5) and put up 2000 yds rushing for Indiana. That is fairly impressive. You add in less wear and tear based upon usgae alone last year, Coleman starts to rise.
