1.1: Melvin Gordon Rb Wisconsin. My #1. The Wisconsin /Big 10 Rb bust does not phase me here. He is more explosive & elite than former Rb's.

Re: Superflex Rookie Mock
1.3 Amari Cooper WR Alabama. I know this is Superflex, but unless I NEED a QB, I'm taking Amari because I think he's a high floor pick that will have a long and strong career. If he goes to a poor team I may reevaluate, but knowing that Jameis has off-field risk, and I'm not completely sold on Mariota, this is a safe and strong selection at 1.3 regardless.
Re: Superflex Rookie Mock
1.04 Jameis Winston. I am SHOCKED that he didn't go earlier. If he has a decent rookie season he'll be worth low end WR1 prices in a superflex. Which is what I think is Coopers ceiling probably is.

Re: Superflex Rookie Mock
1.05 Marcus Mariota.
I really hope Mariota excels at the next level. I really really want to see the Eagles move up and get him (even though that's highly improbable).
I think Mariota will struggle at times with the speed of NFL DBs and also with the speed of NFL pass rushers. Unless an NFL team is willing to let Mariota play through his lumps for a season or maybe two then they are going to ruin this kid. If an NFL team is willing to modify their scheme to fit Mariotas skill set (which is what all NFL teams should do but they don't for some reason) then Mariota should excel big time at the NFL level.

1.07 Kevin White, WR WVU. White has grown on me, I'll be interested to see his combine/draft position. After Gordon/Gurley and Winston/Mariota are off the board, 1.07 belongs to a WR for me.

1.08 Dorial Green-Beckham, WR Missouri
He's a beast. I think his head stays on straight. I think he ends up being the best WR (maybe overall IOP) to come out of this draft. Time will tell, I suppose.

1.09 Jay Ajayi, RB Boise State
He is a workhorse who will be a ppr monster. He should be a 2nd rd NFL pick

1.10 Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State
If I would land Strong at this point in my upcoming draft, I'd be thrilled. Great size, strength and the ability to use the two in order to manage the transition to the physicality of the NFL. Low-risk and potential high-reward.
