1.1 Mark Ingram, RB Alabama
Ingram has been the #1 player on my board for the 2011 draft for over a year now. While it seems the thinking is swayed pretty heavily to Green as the top talent in the draft, the separation from Ingram to the #2 back in this class is a pretty big margin. There will be a number of good backs, but Ingram is going to be great. Had he come out last year he would have also been the unanimous #1 RB as well. I can't pass him up here.

If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

1.3 Julio Jones, WR Alabama
There is a drop in expectations for me after the first two picks this year. While I'm sure there is an argument to draft a QB with the 3rd overall pick, if it's me, I'm rolling the dice and taking Julio Jones.

4. Mikel LeShoure, RB Illinois
Height: 6-1, Weight: 228 | Born: 3/30/1990
A solid workout showing should make LeShoure the consensus No. 2 rusher from this 2011 class. Mikel Leshoure is an exciting player to watch. He is quick, elusive, has soft hands and can take it to the house. He does not have elite speed for a running back (even though for his size it's great). If he lands in the right spot, this kid could have a big-time NFL career.

1.05 - Ryan Williams RB Virginia Tech
Williams is a very good, talented, complete runner. It is very possible that he ends up as the 3rd off the board. He was universally considered the #2 RB in this class prior to the 2010 season but some injuries held him back. If he gets healthy and shows up at the combine and his pro day, teams will look more at his 2009 tape.

1.06 - Jon Baldwin, WR Pitt
Big physical reciever from Pitt get's the nod here, figured he would have been gone at pic 1.5. Stats have gone down since monstrous Sophomore season, but that is attributed to rest of the offense being horrible. After the top 3,WR are jumbled up in many rankings, could have gone Hankerson, Jerrnigan or Young (after current senior bowl practice performances).

1.07 - Torrey Smith, WR Maryland
What he lacks in physicality, he more than makes up for in speed. A pure burner who has both top end speed and quickness and agility in the open field. He also brings an added bonus to those in return yardage leagues. Similar to Mike Wallace. I also briefly considered Leonard Hankerson for the pick.

1.08 - DeMarco Murray, RB Oklahoma
While there are many concerns about Murray's running style and durability, I feel like he is too good to be passed up right here. He definitely has the hands to play some role in a team's running game. The situation he gets drafted into could heavily affect his stock if a team views him more as a committe back rather than getting drafted by someone who believes that he can develop into an every down ball carrier.
Others Considered: WR Leonard Hankerson, QB Blaine Gabbert

1.09 Blaine Gabbert, QB Missouri [/b]
Blaine Gabbert is the choice here...I am taking the best player available with hopes that he is drafted by San Fran or Washington. Blaine has an NFL ready arm with accurate passing and can also make the touch passes as well. He stands tall in the pocket and has nice size for the position - Height 6'05, Weight 230.
He will have to work on reading receivers and defenses as well as adapt to pro offense sets since he worked out of a spread formation exclusively.

Re: 2011 Fantasy Rookie Mock Draft 1.0 - Picks Only
Young’s quickness and agility is what really separates him from many of the other wide receivers in the 2011 NFL Draft. He gets in and out of his routes with crispness, and has a double move on downfield routes that could freeze any corner in their tracks. Young has spectacular run after catch ability, weaving in and out of traffic to make plays all over the field. He has solid hands overall, and can make most catches. He was heavily utilized on screens, swing passes, and many other short yardage situations at Boise State, which he often turned into great positive yardage. He has exceptional acceleration after the catch, and gets off of the line very quickly, forcing defenders to play off him with plenty of space, allowing him to take advantage of quick slants, hitches, and crossing patterns...
One scout referred to Young as the Blue Blur...or a poor man's DeSean Jackson...Also considered Jerrel Jernigan, WR Troy and Jordan Todman, RB Connecticut.

Having won this league, and thereby picking in the 12 spot, my team can afford a luxury pick! Sort of like New England . . .
With the 1.12 the tstafford's pick Kendall Hunter (RB - OSU). Hunter had a strong senior bowl week showing excellent blocking skills and ability to catch the pass out of the backfield. Skills like that get young RBs into the game quickly in the NFL.

Following up the Kendall Hunter selection, with the 2.01 the tstafford's select the BPA left on the board in Daniel Thomas (RB - KSU). The team hopes that one of these later selections will emerge as the tstafford's back of the future. A 50% hit rate at the 1.12/2.01 spot is acceptable to this GM.
Thomas is durable, has solid size to speed ratio, and strong intangibles.

Re: 2011 Fantasy Rookie Mock Draft 1.0 - Picks Only
Shane Vereen is almost identical to Jahvid Best in terms of overall ability. He’s an excellent open field runner and is a threat to make a play catching the ball out of the backfield. He’s blessed with exceptional speed, and has a knack for making defenders miss. He needs a bit of work in pass protection, but in a two running back league, he could fill a big role for many teams.
