2010 Rookie PPR Draft IDP.. 3 RDS Pre-Draft/Post Combine
Standard PPR, start 2rb 3WR, 1TE, 2DE, 2LB, 2CB

anyone can sign up, just post in this thread.

1. Phish Brigade - CJ Spiller RB Clemson -It's a PPR league draft and Spiller is the most explosive RB in this draft class. Hands down.

2. Vintage - Dez Bryant WR OSU- headaches and all. Receivers last a lot longer than runningbacks in dynasty, and finding an elite talent is often difficult enough. Whether or not Bryant can live up to his hype is worth the risk in any format.

3. Steelersfan - Ryan Matthews RB Fresno- I love his overall skill set and think he will be a very solid RB in the NFL.

4. TWR - Jahvid Best RB Cal- this kid has an amazing skillset. fastest 40 of the RBs at the combine, and the last time i passed on a guy that was electric that fell in the draft it cost me. his only flaw is injury concerns.. which will always be there. but this kid has the talent to be a super star.

5. Hosler - Demaryious Thomas WR Georgia Tech- Sorry for the delay Gents...I decided to go with upside on this pick and I think Thomas has the most of anyone in the draft. Without regarding situation I can't justifty taking any of the RB's at this point so Thomas is the pick.

6. BubbaBurst - Ben Tate, RB Auburn- May be a stretch but I love his upside. Not sure how everyone else feels about him but I've heard that he is moving up draft boards. The little I've seen of him was fairly impressive and he looks like he could be a complete back. He should be one of the more interesting guys. If Spiller and Matthews go in the 1st rd there will still be 3 or 4 running back needy teams (Seahawks, Chargers, Texans, Lions, Redskins, Patriots) looking for running backs in the 2nd or 3rd. I expect Tate to be right there with Best and depending on landing spot, either one could be the 3rd back off the board in both the NFL and fantasy drafts.

7. GridIronFavre - Jonathan Dwyer, RB Georgia Tech - Still like Dwyer even though he is falling down draft boards.

8. moneyballer- Rejus Benn, WR (ILL) - Sorry for the delay. Was at the fire station and had a busy day. To me, Benn is the second best receiver in this class. I think he has almost as many physical gifts as Dez Bryant, but was hamstrung by an inept offense. I think he could be a nice weapon if he goes to the right team and could put up great numbers. By years end, he may be the best rookie receiver.

9. rkrazy - Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma - Taking the HPP (highest point potential) approach...even though we didn't define a scoring system for the mock. A young franchise QB typically comes off the board at the back end of round 1. I think Bradford breaks the stigma around Oklahoma QBs being system QBs. Considered Tate or Bradford with this pick, none of the RBs left were particularly appealing without knowing their destination.

10. grimace - Golden Tate WR Notre Dame. I'll take the 3nd best Wr on the board, built in the Steve Smith (Car) mold. Great run after the catch guy, and return specialist. Not happy that he's a body catcher but could be a big play guy fior the right team. Not set on the rest of the RB's being an actual FF producer, especially Hardesty.

11. gratefulydead3 - Toby Gerhart, RB Stanford - I have alot of faith that Gerhart can be an every down back in the right system, and at this point, I see him as the BPA

12. jimmo- Montario Hardesty- Tennessee- I'd love it if Hardesty makes it to my #12 pick in real life. Potential three-down guy that I could see being Seattle's pick at 2.28, and if that happens, hello top-5.

13. (2.01) Phish Brigade - Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame - Tougher than it looks. Some might not see Spiller as the bonafide #1 overall pick... but the 2.01 pick isn't easy. Hardesty would be tremendous value at 2.01, but Clausen is still franchise QB material in a lot of ways. And when you start considering 2nd and 3rd tier RBs and Wrs... or top tier IDP guys ( right Spence? Laughing ), how do you not consider Clausen at this point?

14. (2.02)Vintage -Joe McKnight RB USC-High risk, high reward PPR runner with fumbling issues, his experience in the passing game is well worth the risk. I think he has the potential to be a top 5 rookie in the right situation.

15. (2.03) Steelersfan - Damian Williams, WR, USC - BPA - Good size and decent speed, nice value here.

16. (2.04) TWR - Tim Tebow QB Florida - i think hes going to be the best QB after he develops.. did steve young start? what about favre... what about rodgers... what about palmer... what about rivers... ? see the trend? will be the best QB of this draft class. this is where you start taking chances anyways... hes a good gamble.

17. (2.05) - hosler427 - Rolando McClain LB Alabama - I don’t see real value on offense so I am going with the #1 IDP in my opinion. Good tacklers are consistent year after year so I see McClain as a safe pick as well.

18. (2.06) - bubbaburst - Dexter McCluster Athlete Miss - Good value for a guy who could be great as an all around offensive and return weapon. Good upside, which is what I want in a second round rookie pick.

19. (2.07) – GridIronFavre – Jermaine Gresham TE Oklahoma – Best TE imo and could be a great fantasy player as long as he gets his blocking down well enough

20. (2.08)- moneyballer - Mardy Gilyard WR Cincinnatti - I was hoping Gresham would fall to me. Of the players left I actually like Gilyard. He is small, doesn't have the best hands, and lacks top end speed. But you know what, he produces and leaves everything out on the field when he is playing. What he lacks in quickness he makes up for in agility and tenacity. He also fought to get his scholarship back after losing it while at college. If he lands in the right situation as a slot receiver, I think he could produce. At this point in the draft I like his value.

21. (2.09) - rkrazy - Anthony Dixon, RB, Miss. St. - One of the top 10 backs in this draft. Should be drafted into a nice situation by a team that lacks the big bodied power compliment in a RBBC. Dixon can run, catch and block well enough to contribute as a rookie. He lacks a 5th gear to break away but that's not his game. He is a between the tackles power runner. Think he lacks game speed? Check out the 70yd TD run against Arkansas. Downside is lots of wear in college may cut his NFL career short if used improperly. Considered Dixon or LaFell with this pick.

22. (2.10) - grimace - Sean Weatherspoon, LB Mizzo - Looks to be a MLB in the right system, maybe even NYG. Good football instincts, Great athletic ability, Real leader on the field and in the locker room. Should be the second best IDP to come out of this years draft.

23. (2.11) - gratefulydead3 - LeGarrette Blount, RB Oregon - It's a deep class of RBs this year and Blount has size, agility, and can break tackles. His temper and lack of off season discipline are question marks that he needs to address, and on the field he lacks elite speed and his hands are unproven, but at the end of the day talent is talent and I'm convinced he's matured over this past year

24. (2.12) - Brandon LaFell, WR, LSU I don't usually draft rookie receivers, but the RB I like next will most likely still be around. I see LaFell being a solid possession guy, putting up some decent PPR numbers in his career if not right away, with the potential to do much more. With his NFL body and NFL game, that potential is too much to pass up at 2.12

25. (3.01) - Eric Decker, WR, Minnesota - The top 5 WRs are gone, but I think Decker could be a nice consolation prize for anyone that doesn't have a top 20 pick in rookie drafts this year. He's got great size and he has excellent hands. He's not a track star, but has pretty good speed and will be a solid possession guy with his route running skills.

26. (3.02) Vintage - Eric Berry S Tennessee - I took a chance with A.Curry last year, and LB's can be deceiving if you ask me. Quarterbacks love to pick on the rookies and after seeing the outstanding performance from Louis Delmas, I'll take a shot at the next top safety in this year's class and hope he turns out to be the next D.Sharper!

27. (3.03) WR - Andre Roberts - Citadel. Tremendous value here for an overlooked WR from a small school. Possesses all the tools to be at least a WR3 with a low end WR1 upside. Roberts is 5'10 and runs a 4.46 40 who possesses fantastic hands and precise route running. In the right situation, could become a fantasy starter in a ppr format.

Most resembles Eddie Royal in build and playing style.

28. Arron Hernandez TE Florida - could be the best TE out of this class... think dustin keller.
Please Post Picks and Reasons for their ranking.

29. (3.5) hosler427 Rob Gronkowski TE Arizona - I was hoping for Blount, Decker or Roberts to be on the board. This was a very tough pick. I decided to go offense on this one. Gronkowski is #1 on some TE draft boards and he has a lot of upside. The back injury is a concern and I was also considering Jordan Shipley and Sergio Kindle with this pick.

30. (3.6) James Starks, RB Buffalo - Really suprised he's still here. You can put me on the record as saying LaGarette Blount will be out of the league within two seasons. Starks has an injury risk after missing his senior season, but he had one hell of a career. And he projects really nicely into the 4-5 roudns of the draft where lots of teams with crappy veteran backs ('Skins, 'Hawks (assuming they don't take spiller), Bengals) will be looking for young runners after using early round picks to fill their other holes. Again, I like to go big or go home.

31. (3.7) Joique Bell, RB Wayne State - Figured I would take a flyer on this guy since I have heard some good things about him. If he lands in the right situation, I could see his draft stock moving up higher than this too.

32. (3.8) Jacoby Ford, WR Clemson - I feel like the Al Davis of this draft. Give me the speed and homerun threat here.

33. rkrazy - (3.09) Taylor Price, WR, Ohio - Best available receiver on the board. Posted very good numbers at the combine. In the right situation Price could shine in 3 years. Has all the tools to play at the next level. Like most (read: all) mid round WR prospects he is unpolished and will need to work on his route running and separation techniques against NFL competition. Also considered Carlton Mitchell, Mike Williams and TE here. Still some good IDP value too...Thomas, Mays, Washington, Lee and Kindle.

34. 3.10 - Stefon Johnson, RB USC - Kids looks the part, could have been in the Top 5 Backs if he didn't get hurt. Was a top recruit at RB coming into college.

35. 3.11 - Dezmon Briscoe, WR Kansas - A solid route runner who can find the open field, he has the size NFL teams look for and can time his jump to make the catch at it's highest point. He needs to step up his physicality and fix his character issues, but Briscoe can make athletic catches, gain yards once the ball is in his hands, and run with power.

36. 3.12- Deji Karim, RB So.Illinois- Well, I was wrong about the guy I was thinking about at 2.12 still being around at 3.12, but Karim is a nice consolation. Ultra-productive in college, he flashed in the Texas v. Nation all-star week, then put up top 5/top 10 workout numbers at his pro day. The team with the last pick in the last round of the rookie draft usually can afford to swing for the fences, and I'll take an upside back over a receiver/defender 99% of the time in this spot.

Also considered Charles Scott and Dimitri Nance at this spot but Karim's production and measurables make him the pick

GREAT DRAFT... very fast too... Ill be hosting another one right after the NFL draft to see how the values have changed... then ill create a post averaging the rookie spots...

10. grimace - Golden Tate WR Notre Dame.
