Cameron Giles says after Fournette and Cook this class is ordinary so I guess it is isn't anything special.

If it means anything to you, I have Marlon Mack(who just went 3.12) graded higher than Devontae Booker as of now. And Booker is going between 2.01-2.05 this year

Feel free to continue operating under groupthink.

The RB's in this class after Fournette, Cook and if Chubb proves to be healthy, aren't as great as people think. McCaffrey I'm on the fence about, though there's no denying his athleticism, explosion, receiving and production at this point. I've faded on Perine some after last season's inconsistencies.

I've always said that this class has the potential to be much better than 2016, but that people are valuing each player in this class at their absolute best case, which they haven't proven. It's a typical mistake many make. A year ago some felt Treadwell was a can't miss prospect. That opinion did a 180. Marqise Lee was thought about similarly.

Until proven otherwise, this class currently looks fairly normal but clearly has upside to be much better.

There is if the person going against the grain can explain it rationally with detail.

I don't have any reason to hate a draft class. I don't get money if this draft class isn't as strong as most think. It's just clear that this class is being overvalued on the absolute best case overall, while not considering much else. It's a flawed approach. I'll wait to see if some of those key players next season make the necessary jump before I agree with the praise.

There are a bunch of players I'm fans of in this class and have been waiting for to be eligible. Plus, I'm a huge college football fan, so the season coming back in general is more than enough for me.

I dont think there are many saying all of these guys will end up being studs. Havent seen many thinking there will be 15 beast RBs coming out. I think the overall thinking is that it has depth. So this class will turn out more starters than usual as well as more time share/change of pace guys than usual.

In most classes(especially recently), there have been 1 or 2 at the top and then a crap shoot. This already has 4 at the top that look to be excellent prospects. And the "crap shoot" portion doesnt start to come into play until much later, if that makes sense. The guys ranked 5-10 have a much better chance of success than previous classes.

But I could easily see the top 4 being studs, another 4-5 being quality starters, and another 4-5 being nice change of pace guys. Not all of them will be RB1 but there will be some nice RB2 options and good bye week fillers

But what is that based on that they have a better chance of success?

Let's use a more reasonable 5-10 than the one in this thread, since frankly I don't think there are 4 better prospects than Cook right now. So let's say:

Corey Davis
Mike Williams
Christian McCaffrey
Samaje Perine
Malachi Dupre
Isaiah Ford

The above isn't my list, I'm just spit balling here. To me, that's not a group of players that's drastically different from what we usually see. I don't think it's a crapshoot either though, so the truth is in between.

That can change depending on the season they have, but right now, I'm going off what's known. I like what this class could potentially be, but many assume that's already happened.

Guy puts up 1350 rushing with 16 td's and he's labelled inconsistent? Tough crowd

You are aware that he plays with Joe Mixon, 4 star recruit who is widely regarded as an NFL prospect in his own right? Played behind a young OL who lost two starters to the NFL in the 15 draft? Yes he didn't match his other worldly numbers from 14 and did play better as the year went on but I think that had more to do with his line play and game flow then anything he was doing. He is better then any back in the 16 draft bar zeke and maybe Henry, and clearly behind at least cook, fournette, and Chubb in the 17 draft (in that hood, gallman, Hurd, mccaffrey group). That in itself proves how much deeper this class is before you even get in to the WR's, QB's, and TE's groups which all look superior.
