With the 1st pick in the NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams select Jared Goff, QB California.

Early reports are that the Rams favor the California signal caller over Carson Wentz. Fingers are crossed everywhere in the organization that Goff becomes the franchise QB they can build around for the next ten years.

With the 2nd pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select QB from North Dakota State, Carson Wentz.

Personally, I love RG3. I think 95% of the NFL/fans are undervaluing him. Hue should be able to turn Griffin into a productive starter. But, in the modern NFL, the QB position is one where you should give yourself as many options as possible when considering unproven prospects. Therefore, the Browns would be smart to draft a QB at #2 overall. And if both prospects turn out to have the caliber of an NFL starting QB, then they can just trade away the one they like less...

But real world, this is the Browns. The year will likely end with some random journeyman at starting QB (like Kyle Orton or Michael Vick).
The standard is the standard.

With the QBs now out of the way the San Diego Chargers use #3 to select Jalen Ramsey, DB - FSU. Ramsey is ranked as the best p!layer in the draft by quite a few analysts and the Chargers get a gift here.

I was thinking Tunsil but I read yesterday that SD just resigned both a LT and RT this offseason and I wanted to drafte them somebody who can make an immediate impact and Ramsey can do that.

Dallas Cowboys Select Ezekiel Elliot. Some may take this is a surprise but Elliot behind that O line will be scary, not to mention Dez Bryant and Tony Romo in that offense. Hate the cowboys but feel like this make their offense scary good.

I'm glad you make this selection, because I was just reading the other day about how much money they already have tied up in that awful OLine. And it's not like they could just draft Tunsil and kick in one of the tackles to guard, because one of their guards is already a tackle they moved to guard! HAHA. But it is actually kind of a sad situation. Especially for Melvin Gordon owners.

We need to speed this up if we want to finish Rd 1 of our mock before the real Rd 1 of the NFL Draft is finished.

I agree. I think we need to get better about PMing or emailing the person after us. We could also set a 24 hour timer.

In the interest of moving this thing along and as the thread creator I am going to pick for the Jags since it has been more than 24 hours since the Cowboys picked.

The Jaguars, focused heavily on upgrading their pass rush, choose Joey Bosa, DE Ohio State. The Jags are champing at the bit at the thought of having two top five picks bookend their d-line going into 2016 by pairing Bosa with last year's 3rd overall pick (who has yet to see the NFL field), Dante Fowler Jr.
