Shepard would be my answer from the OP. I have him at 1.04 right now and going to Atlanta in R2 would be icing on the cake.
I hope Boyd slips to me everywhere I have a late 1st! lol
Ha! I don't fault you for feeling that way.
Personally, I hope he goes top 7 everywhere I'm picking late first.
Valuation differences are fundamentally what makes this dynasty thing interesting.

Boyd is a bit of a lightening rod in this class. I think he and Henry are the swing players in drafts, but you might throw Shepard and Michael Thomas in there too. People seem to be all over the map on those 4.

I have the 1.3 in my league. If Elliot goes 1.1 and Treadwell goes 1.2 as I suspect, I will be taking Henry with 1.3 barring some huge unforeseen revelation.

Between his off the field concerns and pedestrian combine performance a lot of people are down on Boyd. I've also seen several critiques of his route running but I personally don't see that as a huge concern. I think it's more likely he goes in the 1.06-1.12 range than the 1.01-1.05.

it is a bit shocking to me to see the lack of respect that alex collins gets . I know he was very average(really< average) at the combine but considering the numbers he put up in the SEC it is amazing to me that isn't right with henry in the ranks . I know the bielema RBs have not done so well but still if he goes in the 1st 2 rounds I cannot see him making it out of the top 10.

For me, the Johnathan Williams injury is what really muddies the ACollins waters. I saw Williams as the better RB. Now healthy, his ADP is far behind Collins which pushes Collins down even futher for me. I really dont think anyone a clue about anyone outside of Elliot in this draft. I actually traded away all picks for Jordy Nelson, Frank Gore and future picks and said to hell with it. I'll trade for em next year after if I like what I see

while I agree that williams is undervalued , I am not ready to discount collins SEC production based on a poor combine unless drafted in later rounds .. if he falls to the 5th or 6th that would temper my enthusiasm but could make him a real value later in rookie drafts. I already feel like williams will be a great 2nd round flyer in rookie drafts as it stands.

Off the field concerns? lol

He had one DUI and has been an outstanding citizen in Pittsburgh other than that. I hope in one of my main leagues he drops to me at 1.12! I am rooting for you to be right about that! lol

I just dont see how anyone could push out the top 5 unless Henry lands in a terrible landing spot.

Elliot
Treadwell
Doctson
Coleman
Henry

I put Thomas/Boyd/Shepard in the next tier but could squeeze into the top 5 if Henry were to go to lets say the Rams, or lets say the chargers or a team with a young talent that is producing but that wont happen. I am hoping Henry goes at 1.2 or 1.3 and then Doctson or Coleman slip to me.

Without going out on a limb too much I would say that in virtually all my leagues Henry, Boyd, and Shepard will just as likely be in the TOP 5 as Thomas will

1st off PENETRATE LOL.

2nd: If Leonte Carroo goes to a good team, his mixture of athleticism and production could make him a big riser.
Will Fuller could be a strong riser if he's taken in round 1 and Michael Thomas is not.
Derrick Henry would definitely get into that top 5 if Dallas takes him warranted or not (IMO it's not warranted)

1. I really reject the notion that the 5 guys you listed are a "consensus" top 5. Dynasty Nerds ADP has Thomas behind Henry, Boyd, Shepard and Carroo. This site's ADP has Thomas behind Henry and Carroo. You might have evidence that there's a consensus top 4, but Thomas' ADP is all over the place.

2. Hey look, joeday is stumping for another Pitt player. I actually agree with you a little bit, because Boyd can really catch, but I'd need him to land in a good situation.

3. For what it's worth, I have Elliott in his own tier, then a tier of Henry, Treadwell, and Coleman, and then I have Doctson, Boyd, Thomas, and Dixon, with Goff somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd tier depending on the format.

Lol I stump for good Pitt players...only one I've been wrong on has been Baldwin. I wasn't buying Street. I was a big fan of Dion Lewis since the way back and of course Fitz and Shady!

In all fairness, anybody who drafted Lewis cut him before his resurgence with the Patriots.
