Early 2016 top 10

Postby DJB » Fri Aug 28, 2015 12:34 pm

For those of us that have already completed our rookie drafts we are already looking ahead to 2016 with huge anticipation. Looks like some quality high end talent available at most positions.

Please feel free to make a top 10 and maybe if you know enough about a prospect a little bio.

1. Laquon Treadwell WR - To me the clear favorite for 1.01. Dez comparison is pretty spot on. Late season injury does not scare me one bit. I have him ranked higher than Cooper right now.
2. Tyler Boyd WR - Big upside. Sees tons of targets. Prototypical #1 WR attributes
3. Ezekiel Elliott RB - Played most of 2014 with a bad wrist. Only 2 fumbles. Big time talent comparable to Gurley in upside imo.
4. Derrick Henry RB - A wrecking ball.
5. D'haquille Williams WR - Reminds me a bit of Jordan Mathews. Lacks speed to seperate which concerns me.
6. Sterling Shepard WR - Might be off the board, but honestly size is the only thing holding him back from 1.01 conversation. Best hands in the country as far as college WR's go.
7. James Conner RB - RB2 upside.
8. Connor Cook QB -
9. Cardale Jones QB -
10. Christian Hackenberg QB -

Not sure much seperates these 3 QB's right now.

Don't know a ton about the other prospects but these guys stand out. I know for sure by the end of the season only 1 maybe 2 QB's are in convo for the top 12 picks.

My top 5 receivers in order are... Treadwell, Boyd, De'Runnya Wilson, Mike Williams, Corey Davis

So we agree on the first 2, but disagree completely after that. But there are some other guys who may sneak in there like Higgins or Sharpe so honestly, we really won't know until the season is underway. I really haven't studied the running backs or QBs much but I don't really like Henry. Not physical enough for me even though he's huge.

Josh doctson has such incredible hands and body control its ridiculous. I really wish he was a bit quicker and made quicker cuts but man he can catch.

These list are all over the place. The nfl draft should shed much light on it.

I'm sitting with the 1.4 & 1.5, should I trade up to get treadwell or roll the dice twice?

With thise 2 picks, why not trade for current studs. Grab a Jordan Reed, Tyler Lockett and Future 2107 1st type deal. Or buy a Kevin White or forgotten stud that had a down year.
I have the 1.12 2.05 2.08 2.09 and I am making a run at Jordan Reed, Lockett, Delanie Walker, Charles Sims and Khiry Robinson. Like my 2.08 for his Sims and 3.07. Or 1.12 for Reed Straight up. If I could Get the White owner to bite, Id give all 4 of my picks and hope for a 3rd back

Wait until the smoke clears and then right before the draft offer a late 1st or 2nd and a player when the picks are worth more and GMs have that draft fever.
