**Start-Up Ideas***

Postby joshuawrobbins » Mon Dec 03, 2018 10:29 am

Looking to startup a new league during the upcoming offseason. Looking for some unique rules for league. What types of leagues/rules do you enjoy that I should bring to my league? Thanks in advanced

Do you already have all of the owners for this league?

Also, personally I like:
- home field advantage in the playoffs (higher seed gets like 5 point bonus)
- idp spot for DL, LB, and DB
- Gotta be a pay to play league imo
- punishment for person who comes in last place (my league this year submitted 14 different ideas and the loser will spin a wheel of doom)
- small transactions costs ($1 for each waiver add) ($2 for each trade), just adds to a higher pot
-DYNASTY mode, small chunks of the league money pool go into a "dynasty" fund where the first team to win 2 years in a row or something like 3/5 wins that pool as well
Dynasty 12 team Superflex
QB: Dak, Kyler, Daniel Jones, Luck, Alex Smith, Easton Stick
RB: Barkley, Hunt, Penny, McKinnon, Brian Hill, Chase Edmonds, Ty Johnson
WR: Cooper, OBJ, Chark, Gallup, Preston Williams, Beasley, J.Gordon, D. Robinson, J. Reynolds, JJAW, S.Miller
TE: Howard, Gesicki, Goedart, Warring

2021: 1st, 2nd, 4th
2022: 1st, 4th

WR: Cooper, Juju, Godwin, Landry, Anthony Miller, J.Reynolds, D.Robinson, AJ Brown, Isabella, Boykin
TE: Andrews, Hockenson, Warring, Gesicki

2020: Early 1st, Early 1st, Mid 1st, Late 1st
2021:2nd, 4th
2022: 4th, 4th

Nope. Nothing is set, no owners, just in the brainstorming process. Thanks for the idea buddy

If this gets going sometime soon I would love to join depending on what you and other people settle on for the format and whatnot.

I've always thought a pre-nfl rookie draft would be a fun idea.

Devy makes it fun. You draft college players. Their scores dont count but when/if they get drafted they are automatically on your team. It's a fun risk because if they choose not to go to the nfl or dont get drafted it's a dud player. Makes it interesting. Just trying to help out.

Most of those seem terrible, but to each their own I guess. I personally prefer pretty standard PPR leagues, without limits on keepers. Our new way of calculating who gets the #1 overall pick prevents tanking, and it goes based off total roster points. It isn't perfect but it prevents the disaster we had last year where the two time champion tanked and got Barkley.
12 Team UNLIMITED Keeper / 23 Roster 1.0-PPR: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 WR/RB/TE, 1 K, 1 DEF 2 IR - 11th Year

QB: L. Jackson, J. Browning
RB: Aaron Jones, D'Ernest Johnson, E. Mitchell, Dalvin Cook, Jamaal Williams, Alexander Mattison, K. Miller, P. Taylor
WR: R. Doubs, G. Pickens, Christian Kirk, Juju, D. Hopkins, D. Wicks, K. Boutte
TE: Z. Ertz, C. Okonkwo, Trey McBride, Tucker Kraft
K: T. Bass, J. Moody
DEF: San Francisco
