Starting a Points for Days League - 4 spots

Howdy!

Anyone else tired of playing weeks where the Sunday night game is starting and you're sitting at 22 points? Even with studs? We really like points and want to create a new (at least to us) scoring style that gets points for all positions. We even like kickers. Yes, kickers. They can make / break real games, so they should be able to contribute to your fantasy team. This is a fantasy sport, so let's have fantasy weeks!

We currently have 8 players, but are hoping to get to 10 and ideally 12 so there are 2-4 open spots remaining.

We're calling the league style 'Points for Days' which, as it sounds, rewards players with many points. It is a PPR IDP league including kickers. We have ideas for making the scoring high, while maintaining balance within the game. We are looking to find a balance so that one position is not too OP.

This season would be a 'trial' that will help us finalize the point breakdown before we move forward with a dynasty auction draft next year. It will also give us a chance to make sure we're using the right platform. We are going to try using Fleaflicker, but are open to suggestions. We want to find a platform with everything included (auction / FAAB / Rookie Draft / Taxi Squads / Etc), so there are not multiple websites to check per week.

Rosters would contain:

1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 3 FLEX (W/R/T), 1 K, 1 DL, 1 LB, 1 DB, 2 FLEX (IDP), 10 BN (Taxi Squad when the Dynasty actually starts)

The teams are deep on the weekly roster so that 'fringe' players matter. Some of the differences in scoring are laid out here:

• higher points for yards at all positions
• a premium for TEs
• QBs are credited for completions and docked for incomplete passes / sacks
• IDP gets an extra point for scoring (7 instead of 6)
• And others...

We are looking to snake draft this Monday (Aug 20) if possible. This year will be free (since we are 'creating' this thing) and some level of paid next year to coincide with the start of the Auction Draft / Rookie draft.
