(from the league website athttps://sites.google.com/view/leaveiton ... nasty/home)

Leave It on the Field is designed to be a simulation league, giving owners the opportunity to be in control of their own franchises from inception. Founded in 2018, this league will hopefully be going strong for years to come.

Snapshot:
21 starters each week: 10 on offense (1 QB, 3 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 SUPERFLEX, 1 FLEX) and 11 on defense (2 DT, 2 DE, 3 LB, 2 S, 2 CB)

21 Bench Slots + 4-slot Taxi Squad

2 IR Slots (PUP and worse only)

0.5 PPR, 0.5 PP1D

Salary Cap is $285,000,000

PAYOUT:

Win in 1st Round of Playoffs - $25

Win in 2nd Round of Playoffs - $100

Championship - $500

Financials
A big part of Leave It on the Field Dynasty is an in-depth control of your team's finances. Here is a living document that should answer concerns.

Salary Cap
Each team has $285,000,000 of cap room. This should be doable to come under for the first year, but will become increasingly difficult to manage as you make moves and decisions that change your team.

Yearly Increase
Each year, on the Aug. 1 deadline, the salary cap for each team goes up relative to the amount that the NFL's salary cap changes.

Going Over the Cap
If your team goes over the cap at any point, the situation must be fixed. During the offseason, you will need to be under the cap by the August 1st Roster Cut deadline. During the season, you will need to be under the cap immediately. If you find yourself over the cap (due to signing/cutting players during the season):

You have 48 hours, or until the next game start time (usually Thursday Night Football, whichever is first), to get under the cap. If you are not under the cap by the next game start, the Commissioner will release players from your team (prioritizing the least amount of players it takes to get under the cap) until you are under the cap (you will incur the cap hits for the following season). In this case, you may have to forfeit a player's score for the week.
If you have not gotten under the salary cap by the August 1 deadline in the offseason, the Commissioner will release players from your team, prioritizing the least amount of players it takes to get under the cap, until you are under the cap (you will incur the cap hits for the following season).
Keep in mind that Cap Hits (described below) do not hit your team until the following offseason. Going over the cap during the season usually only happens when you sign a FA or activate a Taxi Squad player without releasing a player first.
Contracts
Players drafted in the first two rounds sign a 4 year contract, and each player that is drafted after the first two rounds enters into a contract of 2-7 years (owner's choice). Rookies are always entered into a 4 year contract. No player may have a contract of longer than 7 years. If you pick up a FA during the year, they will be added to your team for $1,000,000 for the remainder of the year, but then will require a new contract at the end of the season. When trading with other owners, a player's contract follows them, and the new owner will take on the burden of that contract.

When the final year of a contract is complete, or during any year prior, you may opt to sign a player to a new 2-7 year contract. To determine the new contract's salary, you will have to find how the player's performance ranked, and then cross-reference it with the NFL's salary list. For example, if you are re-signing the 5th ranked QB in the NFL, his new contract will be equal to the 5th highest QB contract in the NFL.

Use the current year's fantasy scores for ranking during the regular season, and the previous year's fantasy scores during the offseason.

Franchising
When a player's contract is over, you may opt to use a Franchise Tag for a single season to retain him, without signing a new contract using the salaries listed on the Franchise Tag wiki (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franchise_tag). A franchise player must be offered a one-year contract for an amount no less than the average of the top five salaries at the player's position as of a date in April of the current year in which the tag will apply, or 120 percent of the player's previous year's salary, whichever is greater. Consecutive franchise tags are allowed; however, for a player to be tagged two straight years, the team must pay 120 percent of the player's previous salary. If it is three straight years, the team must pay the player 144 percent of his previous salary, or an average of the top 5 salaries at the highest paid position (likely QB) - whichever is highest.

Cap Hits
In the case of releasing a player before their contract ends, your team will take a cap hit equal to 10% of the player's remaining total salary per year they have remaining. If you are releasing them during the season, that season does not count as fulfilled for contract purposes. For example, if you decide to release a RB with a yearly salary of $5,500,000 in Week 5 of his 2nd season in a 4 year contract, he will be considered to have 3 years remaining on his contract. Therefore, his cap hit will be 30% (10% x 3 years) of 16,500,000 (3 years worth of salary), or a total hit of $4,950,000. This cap hit will be dead money when figuring financials before the following season.

Mulligans
Each year, the Commissioner will allow TWO transactions during the regular season that do not count against your cap. The reason for this is to give a little wiggle room in the event of a bad draft or bad injury luck. These mulligans will only be honored during the regular season, not during the offseason. The mulligans will always be the first two transactions of the year - an owner may not choose which transaction is used for them.

League Rule Changes
New league rules and rule changes will be presented in the week prior to the rookie draft each year. A new rule must pass an 80% vote to be accepted.

Proposed Changes for 2019-2020
None
Rosters, Drafts, and Trades
Trading Players
Any player can be traded for other players or for future draft capital. Whatever trade is worked out between owners must be presented to the Commissioner, and the Commissioner will approve or veto. When a player is traded, the keep their current contract.

Trading Cap Money
You may offer cap money as part of a trade. The trade partners must decide how many years the cap money portion of the deal last. If it is for a single year, the cap money portion of the deal will end on June 1st, the financial deadline.

Taxi Squad
A Taxi Squad is essentially a practice squad. This 4-player squad is considered to be signed by the owner, but do not take any roster spots and do not count toward the Salary Cap. These players are typically Rookies, or "project" players that you see long term value in.

You can call a player up from the Taxi Squad at any point during the Regular Season, but you must release a player to make room if you do not have open slots.
Once called up, the Taxi Squad Player then takes on his original salary (from when drafted) and cannot be sent back to the Taxi Squad.
During his time on the Taxi Squad, a a player is using his contracted time.
Drafts
Inaugural Draft
Owners will have 12 hours to make their picks in an email draft (time is paused from 10 p.m. PST until 6 a.m. PST) . If a pick is not submitted within the 12 hour time frame, the owner will forfeit his/her draft pick, slide down one spot, and receive 4 hours to make the pick. If the owner doesn't make the pick, the process is repeated as long as necessary.

Rookie Draft
On May 1st, following the NFL Draft, there will be a Rookie Draft that is 5 rounds long. The draft order will be decided by the previous year's standings. Rookies have a different salary schedule (see the table on the home page). Rookies sign 4 year contracts.

Teams will have 24 hours to make their selection. If no selection is made, the Commissioner will make the selection from an ESPN Dynasty ranking list (best available).

Free Agent Draft
After roster cuts in June, there will be a Free Agent Draft that works as follows:

Based on previous year's standings, an owner will nominate a player to sign and will provide their suggested contract. The offer will be presented to all other owners, and if no one makes a higher total salary offer, the owner will gain rights to that player. If another owner does make a counter-offer, then the decision is returned to the initial owner to match or pass. For example: Owner 1 wants a WR on a 3 year deal for $7,000,000 per year ($21 million total), and proposes that. Owner 2 also wants this WR, and offers 2 years for $12,000,000/year ($24 million total) because he has more money to spend. The decision falls on Owner 1 to match the total salary offered by Owner 2. In this case, he could offer 4 year/$6 million or 3 year/$8 million, and both would match the $24 million total.
Miscellaneous Rules
Waiver Wire
Waivers clear on Wednesdays and will use a waiver claim system.

Playoff Seeding
8 teams will make the playoffs. The top two teams in each division will make the playoffs. The 1st place teams will be seeded #1-4, and the 2nd place teams in each division will be seeded as #5-8. Tiebreakers are as follows:

If we agree to pay a little more for leaguesafe, I have no qualms with it at all. Also, payments go based on wins in the playoffs - $25 for a win in the 1st round, $100 for a win in the second, and $500 for the championship. So, if you win the 'Ship, you get $625 ($500 + $100 + $25)
