I'm going to save you some time before you read on. This league is NOT for the chumps. This league is for the guys who are sick of getting into dynasty leagues that constantly have owners not paying attention, not being active, dropping out etc etc. This is for the most serious of fantasy gamers who actually intend on playing a dynasty league to it's fruition.
If you're looking for the casual recreational experience where you do nothing but set your line up once a week, then move on. This is not that league.
This is a league for the type of owners who want to get busy monkeying with their roster and making trades in June and July. This is for those of us who love the action in the summer time when football still feels so far away.
This league is specifically designed to give owners the unique experience of building and managing a roster in the most competitive environment possible. The active owners who are making trades are going to find themselves in the playoffs with regularity. Those who sit on their hands and aren't active will get popped. The contracts and salary rules will create a fair amount of turnover, which will result in better parity and the proper opportunities to rebuild.
This is the type of league where having your contact info available to the other owners is going to be something you want to do.

The scoring settings are all pretty basic. 0.5 PPR, no IDP.

Start up Draft
We'll begin with a long running auction draft on the website. Unlimited players up for auction all at once. 24 hour clock. Each bid resets the clock to 24 hours.
Player Contracts
All dollar amounts will increase 10% per year. This will process in the off season automatically.
You can sign all players acquired through the startup draft or free agency for 1-5 years.
Franchising
You can franchise up to 2 players per year. The new price will be based on the average of the top 5 highest contract amounts per position. Prices will be set post draft. Sign for 1-5 years.
Rookie Draft
We will have a 3 round rookie draft every offseason. The draft order will be set by "optimal scoring" in reverse order. You can find this on the home page in the stat category "Max Points For". This rule keeps anyone from tanking away games to improve their draft pick. The true worst teams will pick higher and the true best teams will pick lower in the order. The 4 playoff teams automatically are locked into the 9-12 spots.
Rookie Contracts
Rookie price is based on what round they were selected in the ACTUAL NFL draft. 1st round pick: $5000, 2nd round pick : $4000, 3rd round pick : $3000, 4th round pick : $2000, 5th round-undrafted : $1000
RBs and WRs start on 3 year contracts. TEs and QBs start on 4 year contracts.
Every rookie that was acquired through our yearly rookie draft is eligible for an option year. $7000.
Taxi Squad
Each franchise gets 3 Taxi Squad roster spots. Only players within their first 3 years of NFL service are allowed on the Taxi Squad. Player's salaries on the Taxi Squad don't count against the cap.
Free Agency
Free Agency is an open auction draft every off season just like our start up draft, just with far less players available. This makes for a fun event to participate before the actual football gets here. The only player you're not allowed to bid on is a player that you dropped after free agency starts.
The same rule applies for waivers. Any player you drop must pass through an ENTIRE round of waivers before you're allowed to bid on him.
You must submit contract years for any player you pick up before kickoff of his next game. Failure to do so will result in an automatic 1 year contract being assigned.
Roster Restrictions
Maximum of 21 players on the active roster. Miniumum of 20. Salary cap of $130,000.
Player Retirement
Any NFL player who retires can be dropped cap penalty free
Trading
This is where this league is defined. Trading isn't just encouraged, it's incentivized. The more active owners are going to find the edge to out hustle their league mates.
Point Trading
Every owner will be allowed to do 3 "point trades" per year. You may not "point trade" with the same owner twice in a year. You ay only do a point trade with someone else who hasnt done all 3 of their point trades already.
A point trade gives each involved party 3 points to use. Each point buys the following:
-$2000 contract dollars : 1 point
+1 contract year : 1 point
Example : Franchise 1 has Julio Jones $28,000 3 years and Franchise 2 has Leonard Fournette $5500 2 years. They trade these 2 players. Franchise 1 uses all 3 points to add 3 years to Fournette's contract making him $5500 5 years instead of $5500 3 years. Franchise 2 uses all 3 points to subtract dollars from Julio's $28000. -$2000 each. Now Julio is $22,000 3 years instead of $28,000 3 years.
You can use those points in any combination with each other.
Cap Penalty
You will be assessed a one time 25% penalty on any player that is dropped. The penalty is multipied by remaining contract years.
Example: You have DeSean Jackson on a $10000 2 year contract. You drop him. 25% of his contract is $2500. Multipy that by his 2 contract years. Cutting him gives you a $5000 penalty.
Contract Dumping
The only players who may be dropped after week 10 are those who are on 1 year contracts. This prevents owners from dumping their bad contracts at the end of lost years.
Franchise Contracts
As you know by now, we will all be paying for 5 years up front. This will pay for 2017-2021. As we lead up to the 2021 season, everyone will have the option to either pay for another 5 years or step aside. If you'd like to bow out of the league while still having paid for unplayed years, we will try to fill your spot. If we can find a paying owner, you will be given a refund of your league fees.
Playoffs
The playoffs will feature 4 teams. The 3 division winners and a wild card. The wild card belongs to the highest scoring team that didnt win their division. The wild card will face the #1 seed.
Pay Structure
$25 entry fee plus $6 for the yearly website fee. There is also a $5/yr Empire Fund that I you can find below. $36/yr. 5 years. $180 for 5 years of dynasty play where every other owner is all in.
Playoff berth : $25(4)
Champion : $100(1)
Runner up : $30(1)
Weekly high score : $5. Weeks 1-14 only.
100% payout of funds.
Empire Fund
$5/yr. The Empire Fund can only be won by an owner winning back to back championships. The pot will continue to grow until someone does it. Once its been hit, the pot restarts. Winning 3 in a row doesn't qualify.
The Empire fund also puts a bullseye on whoever is the returning champ. Any owner who beats the reigning champ receives $5. Any owner who knocks the reigning champ out of the playoffs gets $10
If the league were to dissolve somewhere in the future, the Empire Fund will be redistributed to the owners in the following way:
League Record Highest Score : 25% of the pot
League Record Longest Winning Streak: 25% of the pot
The remaining 50% of the pot gets distributed among the other 10 members.
League Safe
Seems to be the best way to handle the money when dealing with a fantasy football league these days, especially one that involves paying for 5 years up front. I'm not nuts about paying them to handle the money. If everyone is comfortable with it we can save a few bucks and just Paypal me the cash. I handle the cash for another dynasty I run and it's not big deal really. However, if we need to use League Safe to get this thing off the ground, Im ok with that too.

Did you happen to find what you're looking for? I copy/pasted all of the league rules and settings into this thread. I still need one owner, and my other 11 guys are foaming at the mouth to get our 12th and start the long running auction draft.
