3 Sport Franchise Dynasty League

About 4 years ago I was in a league where people started with a franchise and all the players on those teams, and drafted from the remaining teams. So for instance if you had the NY Giants you'd start with Eli, Odell Beckham, Paul Perkins, etc.. And each person would take over 3 teams from the same city, so Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics. You would keep the same players from year to year, and as long as a person was on your active roster, you'd keep them even if they were traded or released in real life. It was a lot of fun, and gave a cool twist to fantasy sports. Does anyone know of a league like this? Or would anyone be interested in starting something like?

I would explore the potential with a co-owner, but would want more insights on cost, Settings/Scoring, and the like before committing. Sounds interesting. Unfortunately I don't know enough about baseball so would need someone else.

Could you trade players across sport? Or only in that sport for other players of that sport? Trying to understand the setup.

If there's enough interest we could definitely start one here and make it however we want. The one I played in was free and just for fun, and didn't allow cross sports trades, because there was a fear of people punting on one sport to build the others. So to keep the competitive balance you were only allowed to trade players and draft picks in the same sports. We played all of our leagues in Yahoo, but did offline drafts and kept everything on a ProBoards messageboard.

I was hoping there'd be something out there already, but I can start something and we can figure out the details and begin recruiting if you guys are into it. I like the idea of this kind of league, because for me, I just liked that it was something a bit different than all of the other leagues I'm in.

I had a couple ideas.. could there be like team drafts in each sport or even just regular drafts. I don't really see how that matters too much as long as all the owners are the same.

How many are we keeping from each home team?

I would be interested if it gets off the ground. I would love to have the Carolinas (Panthers/Hornets), but unfortunately no MLB team in the state, and I believe the closest to us are the Braves. Maybe we could swing it if no-one chose Atlanta?

Well because this is our core here, we can all decide on a few things, should we just make it a la carte, where you can pick any teams from any cities? I just thought keeping it together would make it easy, but I could see people just picking from anywhere.

Either way, we could do the Braves with Charlotte, and I can take Atlanta out of the choices.
