Is it possible to attach a WORD or EXCEL file to a post? If not, what type of files can be attached?

Yes you can attach a file. Make sure you choose Full Editor instead of Quick Reply then just below the space to enter your message you'll see two tabs, Options & Upload Attachment. Click the latter tab, go from there. Hope that helps! KM

Tried that, but then get a message saying that "the extension xlsc is not allowed." Same for docx and doc files.

Perhaps only Premium members can upload attachments?
