New Site Layout

Postby dlf_kenm » Sun Apr 11, 2010 10:09 pm

In case you haven't checked the main site yet, we are in the process of rolling out a new layout and look. Visually it's not a lot different, but it's a huge change to the underlying engine for posting content. We are moving away from the traditional, static web site, and using a site content management/blogging tool to manage our content there. This will make it a LOT easier for us to post content there, and to add new tools and services moving forward.

So check it out...

And many, many thanks to everyone here for creating such an awesome community!

Don't make any bad changes. I'm so fed up with my other site being down, some of it being caused by their server.

When there's a new article on the main page, is it really necessary to post a new topic about it in several different subforums? Isn't that what the Articles subforum is for, to announce these new articles?

We normally won't post that in the subsets of the forum. The problem we've been having is that most people have the forum boomarked, not the DLF Home. For some, they didn't even know we OFFERED content. Now that we have the ability to update it on an instantaneous basis, we have to drive that traffic back there.

This won't happen forever, just until we start to see the numbers come back.
