Re: Sammy Watkins

What happens when an uncoverable receiver has an inaccurate QB? 1000 yards and 6 TDs isn't good value where he is ranked, even if he is a top talent. There aren't many leagues where I can afford to bench a top-20 guy as a prospect. I don't see his value going up this season, at least not as much as...

Re: Why do people seem so low on D Freeman?

Dimitroff no longer has final say on the roster. That belongs to Quinn, while scouting control went to Pioli (his former boss in NE). In other words Coleman is more of Quinns guy, while Freeman is Dimitroffs. I think that Quinn/Shanahan like Freeman and wont hesitate to use him, but that they took ...

Re: Why do people seem so low on D Freeman?

To your two things working against Freeman, you mention that Shanahan generally uses a bell cow, then blame the Cleveland situation on the HC. What leads you to believe Quinn won't be making the call in Atlanta? You mention Coleman is "their" guy in reference to Shanahan and Quinn. I would...

Re: David Johnson Ari RB

I'm not a doctor by any means but by understanding is, a grade 1 is basically a small tweak that just uncomfortable but no issue. A grade 3 is basically a tear or unable to walk on. A grade 2 is anywhere in between. From the minimal amount of info we know about the injury right now, it's hard to te...

Re: David Johnson Ari RB

ugh, sucks that he's missing training camp. a quick search is 2-8 weeks so I guess it can vary a lot. Re: David Johnson Ari RB

Apparently just diagnosed with a grade 2 hamstring strain and the team has reportedly offered Chris Johnson a one year deal.

Re: Tall RBs Get Hurt

This post made me think of Eddie George, who was 6'4 and became increasingly less effective late in his career. I remember him as one of the best power backs in football, but then if you go and look at his stats he seems to have been largely a volume guy in the last couple years of his career. http...

Re: Re:

I am basing this off of the past few years. There is a serious trend going on right now and I feel like it will continue that is all. This team has shown that it hasn't been very loyal to RB's so I would be worried. You mean the period when they had a different head coach? Who had a completely diff...

Re: Orleans Darkwa

I have no idea how Andre Williams is where he is on the depth chart and Jennings and Vereen might be considered a bit fragile, so I think there's definitely opportunity for him to get some game action and expand it from there.

Re: Raise your hand...

I'm actually the opposite. I think Floyd's injury opens him up to losing snaps to John Brown long term. There's sort of a threeway battle going on right now with Fitz, Brown & Floyd. Floyd seemed to have the upper hand in snaps last year, but this could allow Brown to show why he should move up ...

Re: TJ Yeldon is going too early

My dilemma is this......... I NEED an effective starting RB (for the team in my sig)... I'm not a fan of drafting based on need, but I'm sitting at 1.04, and am stocked on WR's (Julio, Cobb, Gronk, Watkins, Hopkins, Gordon, Marshall)... My league's draft appears to be shaking out Gordon, Cooper, Gu...

Re: Andy Dalton - was 2013 or 2014 the outlier?

I would disagree with that. Stafford has far more arm strength than Dalton. If you compare their best seasons, Stafford is the better QB in literally every major statistic. Better Int%, Comp%, TD%, QBR, QB Rating, Y/A, and the counting stats aren't even close. He puts up the counting stats of Dalton...

Re: Andy Dalton - was 2013 or 2014 the outlier?

Dalton, Foles, Cassell, Smith, you could probably throw in Hoyer if he ever had a solid team around him when tabbed to start... They're all game manager types and with the right talent and/or system can put stats that make them appear better than they are. Generally, they'll just get you mediocrity...

Re: Who is your team's 'little engine that could'?

Matt McGloin Comes in as an undrafted rookie to beat out the team's 4th round pick, Tyler Wilson, and make the team. Matt Flynn bombs and gets cut and McGloin moves up the chart. He then battles it out the rest of the year with Terelle Pryor getting some starts and putting up okay numbers. Pryor get...
