Re: Ideal Landing Spots for Saquon
It's hard to really say. Coaching changes and player transactions can change quickly. The Jets may not look like a great landing spot, but you never know long-term.

Re: Better Dynasty Assets: Goff + Wentz or Winston + Mariota?
This thread would've been laughed off the board a year ago. It's an unfair question to a degree because both Winston and Mariota have battled injuries this season. I'm taking Wentz and Goff though. I'm more into QB's that can win from the pocket. I did not think Wentz was anything special, but it's ...

Re: Jarvis Landry - Should You Care?
^ The thing is... this take that Landry is who Landry is simply assumes that he is incapable of doing anything else. I think it is short sighted. He is young and in my honest opinion, could be used as more than a short range target if called upon. Miami has used him in a fashion that limits the dep...

Re: Jarvis Landry - Should You Care?
This whole string started from a specific sub-point where I mentioned that you are erroneously harping on this "he needs 170 targets to get 800 yards" thing as if that's some meaningful predictor. Sure, he's not likely to get 170 targets next year. But you're assuming he needs 170 targets...

Re: Jarvis Landry - Should You Care?
And last year it had him in the top 20 ahead of Odell Beckham (among many others) while Hopkins and ARob were near the bottom. Strange how a couple of great WRs like Hopkins end up near the bottom of the list when playing alongside terrible QB play. It's almost like that stat isn't as good as filte...

Re: Jarvis Landry - Should You Care?
You're doing that thing again where you respond to a point about something with "evidence" of something completely different. Comparing apples to suspension bridges, and all that. I said that him requiring 170 targets for 800 yards this year is an outlier, and you responded by saying that...

Re: Value of 1.01
By the time the draft hype is in full swing, Barkley could be somwhere around a Top 12-20 selection in startups. Personally, I don't like the depth of this class to be interested in more picks for the 1.01. I'd feel comfortable betting on Barkley over anyone else. So, to pry 1.01, I think it would t...

Re: Jarvis Landry - Should You Care?
That stat (ALEX) was created specifically to paint Alex Smith in a negative light. It is interesting, but it really just highlights individual players' styles. I don't think it's a knock on Landry here. Think about it from a football perspective. I'd take 7.8 yards on a play any day. That's a first...

Re: Jarvis Landry - Should You Care?
The 170 target thing is a bit of a non-starter anyway because Landry was a high WR2 last year with 130 targets. His buying price is of a barely WR2 anyway. No one is paying four 1sts for Landry or whatever it would cost to get a 24 year old high WR1 that people expected to continue putting up that ...

Re: Jarvis Landry - Should You Care?
Does it really matter that he's not catching deep balls if he's going to catch 100+ short ones annually? He doesn't need to be AJ Green or Julio Jones, what's wrong with being Jarvis Landry? In the last few years, in PPR, he has been the overall 2015-WR7, 2016-WR14, and currently WR7. At the end of...

Re: Jarvis Landry - Should You Care?
Why are you operating under the assumption that the team that signs Landry won't have a TE or any other WRs on the roster? You're kind of making our whole point here. NEs slot receivers are more efficient because they have a guy like Gronkowski out there, so Landry's efficiency should go up if he m...

Re: Jarvis Landry - Should You Care?
Says who? The best offense of the last decade spent the majority of it with a heavily targeted slot receiver catching balls near the line of scrimmage. It's silly to try and argue that Miami's offense stinks this year because they're throwing so much to Landry. It stinks because they have a bad QB,...

Re: Jarvis Landry - Should You Care?
No one knows what another team will or will not do, or even if Landry will go to another team. What we do know for a fact is that Landry has been one of the more consistent fantasy WRs every year, and to assume that he'll all of a sudden become irrelevant or bad seems like a reach. Irrelevant? No. ...
