Re: Victory Points

Occasional statistical anomalies are good for the league... Yeah, I get that. Every league is different. The worst ones lack depth and play team defense. Statistical anomalies wreck those leagues. But on the flip-side, if you play in a deep IDP league where the better teams are consistently at the ...

Re: Victory Points

Top 5
Middle 6
Bottom 5

MFL has a VP option to select #of "buckets" being either 2 or 3, being 2 buckets is top 1/2 and bottom 1/2. 3 "buckets" being in thirds. Add the odd team to the middle of the pack

Re: Victory Points

I like the concept, but couldn't get the owners of my re-draft league to budge. They hated the idea of IDP, too. And don't want to start 4WRs, so there's a little context about that. Anyways, in a league that over-rewards luck, I really wanted to get some credit for 2nd highest score (losing effort)...

How about the Bears switching to a 3-4? Rumor?

To make things easier, you can embed a chatango chat app into the league homepage. That way people can chat in real-time.
Wow! I'm listening. For years I've hated that there is no chat box on ESPN. I'm fairly savvy, but no programming expert. How do I embed the app into my homepage?

Re: J-Stew price check

ESPN Panthers reporter David Newton says there's a "strong possibility" DeAngelo Williams will be released this offseason. It should be a no-brainer for the Panthers to move on from the ineffective Williams and save $2M against the cap by making him a post-June 1 cut. Especially consideri...

Re: The OBJ knock that burns me

Return yardage is part of the equation. You can't realistically predict he will regress as a return man. Or do you? I mean, isn't that such a key ingredient in the success of A Brown and D Sproles and D Jackson and on... and on... and on. I mean: if you haven't tuned in to see if Beckham passes the ...

Re: Questions from a Salary Cap beginner

I budget 95% of the cap for the auction. This leaves 5% for acquisitions and taxi squad promotions (if you have that). Also, don't be concerned so much with starter/bench budgets. Just like you shouldn't draft for team "needs", don't be concerned with "starters" in an auction; al...

Re: J-Stew price check

J Stew could be further proof that RBs hit a production peak between the ages of 26-28. A career hampered by nagging injuries: yes. But, more importantly hampered by a $40M contract for DeAngelo. Money matters as much as any factor (see Cutler in Chicago). J Stew is healthy, in a run-first offense, ...

Re: QB tiers based on QBR distribution

This pretty much nails it. Good visual evidence using data averages since 2006; that is hard to argue with. Pretty damning evidence of Carr and Bortles, too. They better have breakout seasons coming up or they'll be Not For Long.

Yeah, I just can't help but remember the same "too small" analysis every year about Antonio Brown or DeSean Jackson or Darren Sproles.

I heard Rex wanted to get David Harris to follow him in free-agency, too.
