Re: James Cook

My comment about the weight before was it was mentioned just a few post ago that every where you look James Cook weight is listed at 190. Ignoring the time when he was actually weighed, recorded at the NFL combine, and the weight was 199. :wall: Also, in a good strong draft class with a few QBs dra...

Re: James Cook

I can’t find one source that says 199 lbs for Cook. Literally every thing I find says 190 lbs. I’m not doubting that someone here saw it. Can it be shared?

Re: James Cook

Dalvin was faster than James. If ya watched the combine, the NFL network did a simulcam that showed the two brothers running their 40. Dalvin edged James. Add to that - Dalvin is an inch shorter and 20 lbs heavier. * every source I see about James Cook’s weight is 190 lb. The brothers are not simila...

Re: James Cook

Knowing what we know now, was Kenyon Drake worth a 1st? Or, would the J.Cook apologists advocate that they valued Drake as a late first in 2016? Drake, out of Alabama, was drafted in the early 3rd round of his rookie draft. I would say regardless of the draft class, drafting a rb with this type of p...

Re: James Cook

 Weight is really not much of a legit success criteria these days IMO. CMC was the same height as as Cook at his combine and weighed a whopping 3 more pounds. Tony Dorsestt who played in tougher era was also the same height and 7 lbs lighter than Cook. Ekeler @ 5'9" was 1 lb lighter. We ne...

Re: James Cook

The folks commenting on size haven’t mentioned BMI. Cook’s BMI of 27 puts him in a category that next to zero Fantasy relevant RB before him have had. Shorter guys like Rice, Gore, A.Jones, even CEH are much better suited. Besides that, Cook at Georgia never had more than 7 carries in a single game...

Re: Elijah Mitchell thread

Went back and watched Mitchell again. System running back through and through from my viewpoint. I don't believe he'd be starting on another team in the NFL. Doesn't mean he can't put up numbers in the SFO system because basically any running back can, but hard to justify buying him for anything ot...

Balance works best. I have always been more of quality of film over quantity evaluator in my mind but do know analytic components are an important tool.

Re: 2022 Offseason Trades

Getting out is fine but not cashing in on full value is not fine. Coulda got another nice piece like a 2023 2 or maybe a WR3/4 type. Completely league dependent whether you could get more or not. Just because “market” value says a player is worth something; doesn’t mean any person in a random leagu...

Re: Post Draft Rookie Rankings

Burks inability to have success vs Man coverage is a huge red flag for me. He lacks polish in his routes but he is big, strong and has good YAC skills. He was my 5th wr pre draft and is still hovering around that spot.

Re: Drake London vs. Christian Watson

Drops are not a stat that I would put a lot of weight into. I'd rather look at target share. A wr that can't get open will not receive targets. If he doesn't receive targets, he'll have very few drops but - he'll also not produce much. The higher drop rates are somewhat understandable depending on d...

Re: POLL: Best RB in this draft, who to take at 1.01?

I think both Hall and Walker are very intriguing prospects. Both are uber talented. I will remind our community here that - Situations are ever evolving. So, lets try not to get hung up on differing opinions of the specifics of the current Jets or the current Seachickens. I do think that there will ...

Re: POLL: Best RB in this draft, who to take at 1.01?

I think this is far closer than the average fantasy owner will allow themselves to see. In no way am I bashing Hall here. I love his combine results, I love his tape, his size, speed, passing game chops..... heck, all of it. Walker is a different type of runner though. The vision, the ability to for...

Re: POLL: Best RB in this draft, who to take at 1.01?

I said Walker. I've had him at 1 before and after the draft. I've said this before in other threads, but I think Walker is the much better runner and think his receiving "red flags" are greatly exaggerated. I just don't see the "special" that most do in Hall. Kind of a good/soli...
