great point.
let's assume the bottom 4 are in their own pool.
what kind of ping pong ball breakdown makes sense? What kind of % chance should the worst team have of not getting the 1.01?

Ping Pong Ball Distribution for draft position
kindly simply take as a given that a league uses a ping pong ball lottery on draftpicklottery.com to determine the draft order of, say, 8 of 16 teams that don't make the playoffs. one school of thought is to assign 8 balls to the worst of those teams, 7 to the second worst, etc...with 1 ball for the...

Re: Zeke is a ticking time bomb
For the love... This isn’t about whether the actions constitute a big deal or not. It isn’t about anything anyone here thinks about what EE did or didn’t do. It isn’t about “defending” EE or not because it isn’t about attacking EE even remotely. It is about the fact that the commissioner’s office fe...

Re: Are we too low on Parris Campbell?
Nope.
We are too high.
Campbell and Isabella are both being "May-bumped" above their station. There are legitimate concerns about Campbell's ability to play WR and those are not addressed by his landing spot.

Re: Moving from RSO to MFL?
time that it would burn to navigate the intricacies of building an MFL auction league to approximate the features on the RSO site. agree completely. i will never go back to a hand made salary cap and contract league on MFL. Z--you have my deets, let me know also if there's anything i can do to help...

Have We Moved On From Big and Fast?
I remember preparing for rookie drafts when I started playing dynasty and there was a very real, almost palpable push for the magical WR combination of height and speed. It wasn't an accident that we wanted it as fantasy football players making rookie picks--AJG, Calvin, Brandon Marshall were guys t...

why would a comp be worthless because two cars with the same weight, wheel base and horsepower can still be completely different machines. further, two cars with the same horsepower, torque, acceleration, braking and suspension can be completely different machines. further further, the exact same c...

that might possibly be the most dangerous way to assess value!

Re: Deebo Samuel
i mean, the easy answer is that he isn't a gadget guy, isn't raw, and compensates for the length of his arms with any number of the other things that WRs do to play the position.
(this is also why comps are beyond worthless).

Re: Parris Campbell - another hidden gem?
Campbell is one of a couple pristine examples of the early may post draft bump. we see this every year, though it is probably more pronounced this year bc the talent curve is so flat. his athleticism is undeniable. his talent at the position of WR is justifiably questionable. we will forget this wit...

Re: Miles Boykin WR Ravens
Boykin is interesting. it is tempting to say he is this year's "athletic guy who doesn't know how to play WR" or what have you. certainly we seem to have that guy every year. i don't think its quite that simple--though, admittedly, there is someone making excuses for That Guy every year, t...

Re: Rookie drafts - tiers
this isn't really what people are talking about when they say "talent over situation". oh, i 100% agree with you. this isn't about that at all! this, i think, is much more about the idea that drafting X player ahead of Y player is a literal statement of a team believing that X is more tal...

Re: Crowell tears Achilles
Lots of revisionism in here. this is absolutely correct. to say he was never good is silly. there were a lot of fire and brimstone posts about how awful he was bc he was never drafted. but there is another reason it is important to think about Crowell. Many may not remember the offseason when he en...
