Re: Rank these free agent pick ups

Dynasty? Do you need the player for immediate impact? Are you looking for the guy whose value could jump in order to flip him? Are you looking for future/long-term value?

Short-term: Morris (runner-up: Breida)
Long-term: Conner (runner up: Ballage)
Upside: Conner (runners-up: Morris, Ballage)

Re: Rate my Superflex team..

I'm going to go slightly against the grain and say hold. Not because I think that you have a run in you but rather because I don't think that most of your "sell" players will lose value in-season. Brees's trade price is already depressed for his age. Trubisky, in theory, should go up. Dalt...

I was going to suggest Edelman, too.

Re: 1st Time @ Best Ball

Yes, you did! I'd like a different QB3 than Tannehill, one with more variance (i.e., some huge games and some duds). Odds are that Tanny will never start for you in this format. And your TEs are in pretty poor shape. Otherwise, I'm on board with the team overall. Good players at all positions who ca...

Re: Ethics question

It's a new league and a startup. 1) Ultimately, everyone is 100% responsible for knowing the rules at all times. By that metric, you're free and clear. 2) That being said, you're the commissioner, and YOU set the tone for the league. Do you want the tone to be cut-throat, do-or-die (and it's okay if...

Re: Mike Williams vs Marquise Goodwin?

I'm shocked. As of my reply, it was 7-0 for Williams. I'm the first to go with Goodwin. To me, it isn't even close. An ascending #1 WR on a passing team who showed great rapport with his new QB last year or a capped upside WR who hasn't shown anything on the field, with an elite but aging QB, and wi...

Re: Arob for Kupp++

IMO, pass pretty easily. Admittedly, I'm not on the ARob bandwagon. Still, I don't think that he's a difference-maker. I think that ARob and Kupp are a lot closer in value and production than ARob and WR1s. No way that I'm giving up allllll that for an upgrade in the same tier. Indeed, I'll pass on ...

Re: Drafting TE's When You Don't Have to Start One

I'd project them and slot them based on their projected points. Then I'd drop the elite ones about 1/2 a round to a full round and the eliminate the majority of the rest. Why? Lack of upside. Say that you have -- I'm making it up -- Brandin Cooks and Travis Kelce projected to score the same number o...

Re: Superflex Blockbuster Trade involving Kamara

I'm in. I don't think that Kamara and JuJu are that far off (and I think that JuJu will end up being the better player long-term). I'd much rather have Darnold than Ajayi, and I'd much rather have the 1st in 2019 than Ajayi. So, even if I'm wrong about Kamara vs. JuJu, the other pieces make up for i...

Re: Ajayi and Stafford vs D Freeman

I'm fading Freeman this year, but still Freeman easily, IMO. I don't think that Stafford is any better than the glut of QBs 2, so it's really a marginal cost to go from Ajayi to Freeman.

Re: JuJu for Demaryius Thomas. Trade advice! thoughts??

JuJu, JuJu, and then JuJu. Which do you think is the more likely outcome: 1) JuJu continues to put up big numbers in an elite passing scheme while Thomas improves to regain high-WR2 status (making JuJu more valuable!); or 2) JuJu having a huge sophomore slump while Keenum elevates Thomas back to hi...

Re: I have too many good keeper options. Who would you take? Devonta Freeman(Round 7), Adam Thielen(11), or Alex Collins

It's all about value. They're all good values, but Collins is the best. By far. I imagine that Freeman and Collins will likely finish in the same ballpark as RBs. Freeman has a much higher upside, for sure, but I don't think that ever gets back the numbers he put up a few years ago. And the differen...

Re: Redraft Ideas

You make a valid point. I guess I figured that since Gordon is widely regarded as an RB1, he should only be compared against other RB1s, but that obviously doesn’t account for the advantage the OP would gain by replacing Miller with Freeman as his RB2. You’d probably need to run the numbers on Free...

Depending on who's left, there's a good chance that I'd be drafting QBs every round until the other teams jump in and get the rest of scrubs.

Re: Doug Baldwin - Cliff ahead?

Predicting Seahawks emerging players in the Pete Carroll era is about as easy as predicting which NE rb to start each week. Beyond Baldwin who is probably teetering on the edge of his cliff, I have no idea who will be next to step forward from that group. Could be any of those fliers Lockett/Darboh...
