Re: OT: Should NFL CBA treat RBs differently?
Seems like the Rams are spending a lot of money lately. Do they not have cap issues? Is all of the money for Gurley in years 3-6 or are they bringing some of it up into the next couple of years? As of today, before this Gurley deal, the Rams have $2.2M in 2018 cap space, but a whopping $72M in 2019...

Re: OT: Should NFL CBA treat RBs differently?
Per Adam Schefter on Twitter just now: "Rams and RB Todd Gurley finalizing agreement on a 4-year extension worth $60 million that includes $45 million guaranteed that ties him to LA for the next six seasons, source tells ESPN. Finally a deal that resets the RB market." 15 millon per year w...

Re: Brag About Your (Fantasy) Football Experience thread
Started playing in 1998, so a solid 20 years now. First full dynasty in 2007.

Re: Demaryius Thomas and Crabtree?
Love DT for a few more years. Never been a fan of Crabtree. Can't see his situation as positive in Baltimore. You know, I was optimistic for 2 reasons- 1- primary WR, compared to sharing that with Cooper 2- an article I'd read saying the OC with Kaepernick is in Baltimore, and Crabtree flourished i...

Re: Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
I like the Clement pick. He is on waivers right now in my league and I am hoping I can find a spot for him. Just not sure if I will have the roster space. Like the list. Make room. Ajayi has never held up and his knees aren't getting any better. They rotate their backs plenty, he'll get plenty of t...

Re: Demaryius Thomas and Crabtree?
I think you sold low on DT as far as timing goes. Crabtree - his value is also low after leaving Oakland. Doubt it'll bounce back, but there's a chance.

Re: Jordan Howard value
He had six drops last season. While that's a high number, the margin for error in crediting drops is very high when the number is that low. I stand by what I've watched and say he isn't bad at receiving.

Re: Keenan Allen
His only limitations this season are the obvious injury scare and also the not-so obvious threat of being on a dominant team. The Chargers are one of the better AFC teams and their schedule is fairly easy. They've got a solid defense that can end games by the 3rd quarter. Garbage points won't be av...

Re: Mixon Cuts Weight
We see a lot of these in the off-season. Player loses weight to add speed and burst. Player gains weight to take the abuse of a long season.
The result is no change in valuation for me. Maybe a very slight downgrade in that it's admitting something isn't working from the previous year.

Re: jordan howard or tevin coleman
I think the offense under John Fox was bad, so I'm optimistic about Howard this year.
Tevin Coleman plus two late firsts isn't a bad offer though. Guess it depends on your team.

Great point about RB contracts about to go up. Totally agree. Some excellent young backs that teams will NOT want to leave.

Re: OT: Should NFL CBA treat RBs differently?
they should probably down the rookie deals to 3 years with a 4th year option that is based off their performance and not the draft slot they were taken. they should also make all contracts guaranteed. the elite guys will have to be willing to strike if they dont get what they want. the not so elite...

Re: OT: Should NFL CBA treat RBs differently?
RBs aren't treated any different than other positions in the CBA. It's the market for RBs that is different. It sucks that they can't get the dollars or years that other positions do, but that's how it's shaken out. They've got to go where the guaranteed dollars are and I don't blame them one bit. A...
