Re: Looking For GM Advice

I agree that it's a low starting point for Smith, but I'm offering the picks I have this year (trying to save future 1st's if possible). And the other team needs to be blown-up and could use the picks IMO. It doesn't have to be Smith as an add, he's just the type of player I was looking at. Aging, w...

Re: Looking For GM Advice

Thanks Cowboy. I may regret selling Manning short-term (though there's still doubt/risk with him) but Hernandez was the target all along, and I was really happy to add him. I'm heading into year 3 of a rebuild, feel like I'm getting close, just not sure if I can get there in 2012.

Re: what in picks does it take to get fred jackson

I'd also offer up the 2.2 as a starter and see what happens, but I'd say I like this deal more if you're talking about Team 2 in sig as opposed to Team 1. If it's a completely different team, and you really feel that you're in "win-now" mode, I'd gladly give up 2.2 for a guy that could put...

Looking For GM Advice

Team in signature. Between last year and now, I've traded my 2012 1st-rounder (ended up being 1.06) and Peyton Manning for Big Ben and Aaron Hernandez (you can also debate the wisdom of those moves). Now I feel that my weaknesses are at WR and RB. Roethlisberger may not be elite, but I think he's OK...

Re: Draft pick trading in a keeper league

In my 10-team keeper league we can keep up to 6 players (PPR, 18 rostered), but no more than you start at a given position (QB, 3RB, 4WR/TE). You can trade draft picks, but each player you keep relinquishes a pick starting in round 1. So if you're keeping 5 players, you can't trade a draft pick high...

Re: Bradshaw's Value To Eventual Wilson Owner?

Tough to say since you don't yet know what assets your potential trade partner possesses, or what their past history says about how they respond to trades. If they don't have a prospect you're interested in, maybe you could get back into the first round (or more) in 2013/14? I like your thinking wit...

Re: Trimming the FAT-NonPPR

Agreed that it's Scott and Blount on the chopping block. In Ridley/Vereen and Hunter/James you're bound to get some production from one or the other of those combos depending on how things shake out in camp and pre-season. Then decide what you want to do with "the other guys". Blount will ...

Re: Deckers Value

Decker's actual value is directly tied to Manning's performance for the next 2-3 years, but we've no idea exactly what that looks like yet. Right now, it seems most people are assuming Peyton will be at least an 80% version of himself, so let's assume that's the case. We don't have contracts in my l...

Re: Someone sell me on Lynch

I'd be interested to know who you picked in the first three rounds to get an idea of how your team is shaping up? What other players might be a possibility? But if I can get this guy: http://www.seahawks.com/videos-photos/videos/2011-Best-of-Marshawn-Lynch/3bed2a47-fee1-4318-8942-d8ebca42520f at 26 ...

Re: Rookie WRs Production/Value POLL: 3 votes

As was mentioned previously, it's VERY rare for a rookie WR to put up fantasy-starter worthy numbers; though that probably goes without saying. If you are looking for immediate WR help for your squad, it's likely you'll need to work a trade to get it done. I'd look into packaging your 1.03 and an RB...

Re: Which WR?

If he (Arrington) gets his shot I expect him to take full advantage of it. Agreed, and I highly doubt Toon will be ready to compete with Arrington this year as a rookie for serious playing time. With Mecham gone, there are snaps to be had for the Saints younger WR's, and I would expect Arrington to...

Re: Shonn Greene - Has the hate gone too far?

I don't hate Greene, but I don't love him either. I'd be happy with him as an RB3/4 on my squad depending on depth. However, I think Tebow and Ganaway are more of a threat to Greene's touches than Powell or McKnight. The former players game is more power and less "wiggle" (like Greene), wh...
