Re: ROOKIE RB's (2019)

Haven't watched any tape on them, but I'm keen to start checking out Holyfield & Jacobs. Holyfield looks like a beast physically, and has been called out in a number of other threads. Similarly Jacobs - despite limited touches he's been called the best 'Bama back on some threads (and the next coming...

Re: Dwayne Washington, RB, NO

Talking flyers - how do you value him compared to Brian Hill and Zach Zenner? Hill has possible opportunity in Atlanta, and Zenner do well with his looks this year

Re: Single Table or Divisions

Never played in a league with no divisions, but would be keen to explore it. In a 12 team dynasty league, we have three divisions - and as above it's pretty imbalanced, but helps create rivalries. We mix up the divisions every 5 years - not quite at the first re-shuffle, but can't wait for it

Re: How high to draft Rookie QBs

Some widely ranging opinions on here. In one QB leagues, the value is very depressed, and it's unlikely that they make that much of a difference. You can usually acquire someone for a third, so I wouldn't pick one earlier than that. But I have built in my league's valuation of QB's into my strategy,...

Re: How does your league deal with IR in the offseason?

End of the season - our league is like jomead's We have a pretty close group of friends and the league is very lax, so we just allow the guys who end on IR to be kept there until next seasons roster cut downs which occurs close to the start of the season. I'm sure this is totally different than most...

PS the reason for the dead cap is bonus $ already paid out divided(pro rated) by less years
Thanks CC - that makes complete sense, much appreciated.

Re: What to make of the AB situation?

Well, this only means that if a team with a ton of cap space thought he was worth it, then they could make a move with Pittsburgh. The Jets for example have a ton of cap space and are desperate for playmakers. As I understand it, the 21 mil hits Pittsburgh's cap whether he's on the roster or not. A...

Re: Is Phillip Lindsay on anyone’s radar?

Sucks about his wrist injury. He was less than 3 points away from an RB1 season. I suppose it’s a pretty meaningless distinction in the grand scheme of things, but it would’ve been cool to see him finish in the top 12. From the sound of it, he should be ready for training camp next year even by the...

Re: How to regulate against inactivity.

The first one seems good - but is it possible? I like the idea some leagues have whereby those not in the playoffs have a competition for an extra bonus pick, either at the start of the 2nd or 3rd round, but structures of that obviously differ. We rely on league rivalries and banter - everyone is in...

Re: Best Buys and Stashes 2019 edition!

Never seen conklin, but scooped him up after this thread. But then I had Justin Davis to hedge Gurley, and he's now Injured anyway.

Other chaps I'm watching (deep league): Zylstra, Sloter, Newsome, Cantrell, & Alie-Cox.

Lamar Miller

Maybe it was discussed in another forum, but I couldn't see anything here. Miller has just been downgraded to out? I wasn't aware he had any significant injury? Seems like Blue is going to be the starter (any chance Foreman gets a decent run?), but I came to ask - is this a real injury, or the texan...

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement

Hahahahaha. ...to be clear, I am not laughing at Gordon; I am laughing that there are people that did not sell. That was my problem, I had no buyers in the one league I own him. Just like I am getting no offers for Hunt, my league must be more risk adverse than most people's on this forum. I was lu...

Re: Week XVI Discussion (Championship Week)

Since Cam Newton is out, this affects two players that I care about: Ian Thomas, who I own, and Christian McCaffery, who I play against in the finals. Will the backup QB resort to dump-offs to CMC, or to the TE position like many backups tend to? CMC also didn't practice today. Maybe he's being shu...
