Re: TRADE HELP PLEASE!

Keep Cooks and Dak. Cooks's upside might be slightly limited this season with all the other mouths to feed in NE but then again they wouldn't have traded their first draft pick for a "complementary" offensive piece so he should still be a force for their team. After this season, Edelman is...

Re: Wilson/1.03 for Gurley/Prescott

To me Gurley and 1.03 are pretty even. After that, I'd much rather have Wilson over Dak than 2.02 over 2.07. The trade comes down to the QBs in this type of league. If you think Dak is legit and will continue what he's done so far, this is a good trade to make. If however he struggles in year two a...

Re: Rookie drafts picks on the block

I'd do the 2nd trade, not a fan of Ajayi. If you can't shop 1.05 for any one its a decent consolation prize

Wilson/1.03 for Gurley/Prescott

I just completed a trade in my 2QB contract league where I gave up Wilson, 1.03, 2.07 and got back Gurley, Prescott, 2.02 Curious if anyone agrees with my thinking or absolutely hates it. Short Term: I think Dak/Rivers/Stafford should be a solid trio of QBs so losing Wilson isn't a huge issue. I thi...

Re: Salary Value For Rookies Formula - Non Auction

We ended up going with a more favorable rookie contract system. Out of $250 here is the general contracts 1.01 costs $5 for the first 2 yeaqrs, then $15 and $20 for the last 1.02 $4-$4-$14-$19 1.03 $3-$3-$13-$18 1.02-1.10 $2-$2-$12 2nd round $1-$1-$11 3rd/4th $1-$1 People wanted a mix of cheap value...

Re: who to draft? 2.07 OTC

I'd say Foreman based on draft pedigree and likelihood of a set role right away (RB2 and probable short yardage guy). He also seems like he'll have a good shot at being the top guy next year if they let Lamar go.

Mack might have the most upside given his offense so I would say he is 2nd choice.

Re: Pick a side Jeffery or Cook

Yeah I'm tight on cap and will presumably get Davis at my 1.03 pick so I'm thinking of a slight salary dump to get RB help. This is our first off season so I think there will be a lot of cuts with overpriced RBs so I want to make sure I can buy someone

Pick a side Jeffery or Cook

In a straight up trade who would you rather have given the contract structures?

Jeffery for 1.05?

I'm trying to retool my RB group and free up some cap space without going heavy on the cuts. I'm trying to get 1.04 but the owner is more willing to give up 1.05 (he owns both as well as 1.07/1.08). I think Davis will be available at 3 and can't pass him up even tho I'm pretty comfortable at WR. Am ...

Re: Potential AB trade.

I'd do this to capitalize on your aging starters (DT, Mccoy, Brees).

Getting Snead back as well helps with bye week depth

Re: pick a side..watkins or..

I'd take the pick and Henry given your Roster. Evans, Hopkins Davis should be a solid trio and you would replenish your RB group right away with a really good shot at being stacked at that position next year when Hill and the Murrays are most likely gone. you can always add more depth at WR with you...

Re: What did your 2016 League Winning Salary Cap Team Look Like?

Didn't win but the 2 teams in the championship of our start up league both didn't spend more than 12-15% of their budget on a player (they got guys like Bell, Evans, Cooper for relatively cheap). These 2 teams ended up having a lot of cap staying on the books for next year (15-20% of their budget wi...

Re: Starting a salary cap league

I started one last year. 1. Yes we did an auction draft 2. Yes we used our cap for the season for the draft 3. We did 10 Team 24 man rosters for $250 cap hits. Not really an exact science for why we chose that. ESPN's default settings are $200 for 16 players ($12.5 per player) so we loosely calculat...

Re: AJ Green for

Judging by your roster you look like you should be contending. Also I'm assuming you're going RB with either of those picks. I think you might want to wait until the NFL draft/FA shakes out. Assuming Houston lands Romo, Hopkins should be back to "normal". If KC and Cleveland don't invest i...

Salary Cap Advice

Posted this in the Salary Cap page but hoping to get general advice here too. I just completed my first year in a salary cap league. My team did not pan out and after making a slew of trades involving older win now pieces or expiring deals (ex. Brees, Hyde, Olsen) and trading for under performing or...
