Re: Compensatory Picks for Retired Players

Logic to me would imply the player must be dropped. You’re trading the player for the pick. If he comes back you’ve already been compensated and get use it to get him if you want. If you prefer him to the pick you hold the player and pass on the pick. Should be a short timeline to make the choice f...

I would not pay any First for Miller.
Agreed.

Re: Buy Or Sell D'Onta Foreman?

Now that Blue signed with Jax, Foreman's arrow looks to be pointing up....hopefully Eh, I don’t see Alfred Blue (who was already a FA) signing with another team as helping Foreman at all. Foreman owners need to fear the draft first & foremost, followed then by the possibility of keeping Miller arou...

Re: Kerryon Johnson Value

That was due to Gurley knee issues. And EVERY team rosters three or more RBs. Signing a back-up RB doesn't move the needle for me. But signing a quality "back-up" RB to split carries would give me pause in projecting RB1 numbers. I don't think CJA IS a quality back-up. He was surprising last year w...

Re: Kerryon Johnson Value

I think if he stays healthy for 14+ games his ceiling is RB6-8. It's going to be a different look offense than previous Detroit seasons, with Bevell in town. With coach speak of a more limited role for preservation's sake and Riddick/CJA there to siphon rb targets and TDs, I don't like the odds of ...

Re: CJAnderson looks like Jerome Bettis

I think the biggest problem is that CJA is a prime candidate to steal the touchdowns; which is a problem for fantasy production. Couple that with Riddick inevitably stealing some receiving work and the ineptitude of the Lions overall, hard to be excited about Kerryon for fantasy. This. Exactly this...

Re: Kerryon Johnson Value

CJ Anderson does nothing to KJ's value. There are these things called back up running backs. Yeah, CJA is one of those. Having a capable back-up is just business in the NFL. Nothing to see here. And to the previous point, you don't need 300 carries to be a RB1. See Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara in '...

I just wish Miller wasn't already turning 25 this year. He checks practically every other major box on my list of the things I look for in developing WRs.
This. He's the same age as Amari Cooper.

Re: Todd Gurley to bust in 2019?

So with CJ Anderson to the Lions, who then is the current Gurley handcuff? Malcolm Brown is the clear number two. I don't think he's a must have handcuff though. I don't see him being Damien Williams when Kareem Hut was released. Disagree on not being a must own, unless it's a really shallow league...

Re: Is Njoku a sell?

I've heard they were talking poorly of him at the combine. Not impressed with where he's at as a football player. I sold him and some change for 1.06 in a SF, and I'm happy with that. Njoku is a great athlete and a decent football player. I'm not sure he'll ever be a great football player, though. ...

Re: Buy low RBs heading into draft

I reckon Latavius Murray can still be bought low. Yeah he is what he is but would anybody be surprised if he scored 8-10 TDs plus 800-900 yards next season for the Saints? what is Murray worth in this offense? any opinions? worth more on roster then he is in a trade? Would easily give up any 3rd fo...

Where is TJ Yeldon ?
I would have thought he would have made a few visits by now.
There's still a "decent" crop of RBs out there:

Jay Ajayi (25)
T.J. Yeldon (25)
Ty Montgomery (26)
Isaiah Crowell (26)
Corey Grant (27)
Spencer Ware (27)
Buck Allen (27)
CJ Anderson (28)
