Re: IDP cuts/adds

The Dolphins could use a mid-late pick on a guy like Anzalone for depth, sure. I'm with you that they definitely don't need to spend high draft capital. They've got a pair of win-now LBs in Timmons and Kiko. As to Jelani: his snaps reflect a great rookie year and two injury-riddled seasons. I would ...

Re: Optimal Starter to Roster Ratio

I like 7v7 format. I broke into IDP in that format and found it to be very balanced. I think a good rule of thumb for roster sizes is double the starters (30 in this case). I wouldn't recommend that ratio in smaller leagues, nor am I a fan of super deep leagues that are completely barren of pluck 'n...

Re: 32 team single copy question

wow, 40 rostered? That's pretty limited in a league like that. You have to go studs n' duds in that format and pray for a healthy season. There's just no better approach.

Re: Who would you keep?

As much as I hate to say this..... it's time to move on from Trev. I bought this guy in a 2014 startup and have simply anguished over what should've been. He's been no less disappointing than DeAndre Levy. I should've had a monstrous defense pairing those two with JJ Watt.... Treat your defense almo...

Re: IDP cuts/adds

League-dependent, but I value 3-down LBs higher than flier DLs. I still consider Ealy to be a flier. Jelani Jenkins has always kept a spot on my roster (err IR). He is a 3-down WILL with upside when healthy. The problem is he's been banged-up alot over the last two years. I'm still holding out hope ...

Re: Jabrill Peppers

Idk, I'm reminded of Laremy Tunsil posting a video last year and getting drafted to his #1 destination in Miami (so did Myles Jack). Don't forget that these college students are very unique in that they don't get to choose/apply for their first job. They are 22yr olds that are told where to go. They...

Re: Reuben Foster sliding perfectly into 2nd

3year rookie deals are pretty much for udfa ...... 2nd rounders still are on the books for a 4 year deal.... your posts are very interesting I just think you are grasping at this idea. Any team may negotiate an extension with a player on rookie contract after 3 years of service. Essentially, all pl...

Re: Reuben Foster sliding perfectly into 2nd

Ok, but Foster is not a top 10 pick. That was never my evaluation... I don't recall anyone believing he was. If you are not a lock for the top 10, then your best 'bet' is to fall. If we keep saying that nothing is guaranteed in the NFL, then the best bet is negotiating your veteran contract ASAP! 5t...

Re: Reuben Foster sliding perfectly into 2nd

Foster as any sort of example, given he was/is viewed as a top 10 talent Nope. I can't think of any Off-LOS LB being worth a top 10 pick. Economics don't support it. You know the difference between top 10 and 11-32 obviously (concerning the option year). Any player going in the top 10 is exempt fro...

Re: Reuben Foster sliding perfectly into 2nd

A. Wagner v. Hightower is relevant because this is 2017. The current CBA rules have only begun to take effect. See the difference between DE v. OLB as a position group (cost) for more. B. If you are taking a poll of FFB players as to which player is better than you will likely be on the wrong side o...

Re: Reuben Foster sliding perfectly into 2nd

Oh, lol. I have no idea why he provided a diluted sample. It's interesting, that much I know. I take drug tests a couple times per year. I am very aware that a dilute sample is an automatic fail. There are only two plausible reasons to give a dilute sample. One is to cover up a positive sample. The ...

That he won't fall to the 2nd? I think he was borderline to begin with.

Re: Reuben Foster sliding perfectly into 2nd

Jabrill Peppers now diluting his sample. All this is very interesting. Could he be in for a bigger payday if he falls to the 2nd round?
