IDP Study: Your Favorite Format

Hey, guys, I'm reviving a study that I began last year and wanted to see what (if anything) has changed in the IDP landscape. I hope you'll take a minute to answer a few brief questions about your favorite league setups, etc. The more responses I get, the better the results will be used to paint a b...

Re: New to IDP - Orphan Roster Help

If you are rebuilding, Suh is someone with enough value to sell for some prospects. I'd target a couple contenders that need a DT and see what you can get. I'd also look to sell the CBs for anything you can get. You really could afford to stab at AJ Klein, Spence, Goodson, or Jelani... maybe even Co...

Re: BJ Goodson for 2018 2nd round pick

Dropping a 2nd rd pick on an LB of this caliber is a low-percentage play. I am on the opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to Giants LBs. Great zero-LB candidates, but that means zero investment.

Re: Eric Reid price check

Fwiw, I'm buying free shares of Reid in every league. He's got upside for sure. I just don't ever advocate paying up to get a DB, let alone one who has only produced at replacement level. I am advocating for buying cheap shares of Reid, however. In a nutshell, I take a zero approach at Safety and LB...

Re: Salary cap, trading players

Typically (as in MFL leagues) salary and contract are transferred "as is". I don't know how RSO does this. Goirish points at the Browns for example, but I will use another Browns trade: They drafted T Rich and traded him to the Colts while they absorbed most of his salary (kinda like trading blind b...

I had Klein in two leagues. Traded him in both leagues today, one for 2018 2nd rounder and the other 2018 3rd rounder.
Huge return. I'd trade away an LB with starts under his belt for that. Klein is an unknown and has a high upside if those trades are any indication.

Re: Eric Reid price check

In standard formats, I would not give a fourth round pick for a DB let alone a DB that we don't know is a top option. You know your form at best, so if there's some hidden value in DB then you make that call.

Cincy rookies are on the no-fly list. Travel ban in effect on them.

Re: IDP trade

In that format, the 3.04 is the more valuable piece. So, on that note, you did well. I'd take Chris Godwin or Taywan Taylor in that range.

Re: give McKinney, get Bosa

That breakdown is excellent. It reassures me that over-reaching for Bosa is a low percentage play. I'm done over-reaching for players (gave Julio for Dez plus Ebron last year).

Re: How do you rank the rookie lb class?

Reflection time: This was my first IDP/dynasty offseason. I had just one year under my belt when making these evaluations of the 2015 LB class.

Big whiff on Dawson over Kendricks. It seems I was not alone on the PJ hype train.

Caleb Brantley is another option to consider.
50/50 Chance at Browns 3-tech. I've nabbed shares of Larry Ogunjobi for taxi squad.

Re: Rankings breakdown

Yeah, I voiced the same request to DLF in December '15, along with some other issues I had with DLF IDP rankings (like cutting down to top 25) and got a very forthcoming and honest response from Ken Moody saying that they were working to improve their IDP rankings. DT rankings are a must to me, but...

Re: Kwon Alexander value

I fear that an LB would not be worth that much in that format. There are only 20 starting LBs each week, so the positional advantage from LB1 to LB20 (assuming a few things) would not be so great. I'd be using my 1st and 2nd rounders to take more chances at the premium positions in your format. You...
