Re: Iron bowl WRs

I probably wouldn't take him over Gurely and Gordon, but after those 2 there's no doubt I'd jump on him at 1.03 without any hesitation. DGB might have a higher ceiling but obviously has the lowest floor out any WR in the class. Depends if it PPR or not. I am in non PPR, and although I am in the pla...

Re: Isaiah Crowell (Please ignore 49ersFaithful80)

Well, after that Atlanta game, I'm thoroughly impressed. Both TD's were top class, especially the 2nd. While the rest of his game needs to be cleaned up, his talent as a runner can't be denied. The West/Crowell combo has worked since day 1, and removing Tate was a great decision. Using both gives th...

Re: Isaiah Crowell (Please ignore 49ersFaithful80)

Nothing will shock me at this point. Well, I guess I would be shocked if Gordon didn't take some of the defenses attention away from the run. But Crowell vs West, short term, who knows. Long term I think it has to be Crowell. This week, I have both and Crowell is in my lineup and Tate on my bench.....

Re: Jesu Cristo! 408 yards for Melvin Gordon!

Csl312 hit it right on the head. When you get to face college defenses with an NFL-caliber offensive line, anyone will look good. I have a gut feeling that Gordon is the next TRich. He's going to get a lot of hype coming into the draft. However, without the huge advantage his o-line gives him at Wi...

Re: Jesu Cristo! 408 yards for Melvin Gordon!

Gordon vs LSU should answer any questions about the competition. Even on his 63 yard run, he showed incredible patience, vision, and you could tell he couldn't hit that next gear because of the hip flexor they later let on about. You could tell he wasn't right a the end of that run. Throughout that ...

Re: Crow trade complete

I am not a Crowell believer, but even if I was, I think you overpaid. He can't pass protect and puts the ball on the ground A LOT. That's a good way to find a spot on the bench, despite the obvious raw physical talent. He's at least a flex play, since Tate's release, but I would certainly take one o...

Re: Gurley tore his ACL

Watch Melvin Gordon's highlights. Then watch Jamaal Charles college highlights. Very similar. Charles has a bit more speed, and Gordon has a bit more power, but beyond the fact they wear the same number.. there is a very similar running style. Gordon's change of direction and acceleration are unique...

Re: Isaiah Crowell (Please ignore 49ersFaithful80)

Well, now West and Crowell owners just got a bit happier. You have to figure West is now the passing down back, his pass protection is better than Crowell's, and he has good hands for a back. Even if he is not the starter, he can at least become a flex if he's catching 3-7 passes a game on top of hi...

Re: Gurley tore his ACL

Can't see the Seahawks taking him. Too risky, and they have other more pressing needs than a RB with a torn ACL in the first round. I think they give Michael his shot before spending a first round pick on an injury prone (although extremely talented) RB. Gurley has an injury history, dating back a f...

Re: Le'Veon the Polarizing Player

He was my targeted RB1 in our startup draft this year. Took Dez at 8, and when he was there at 17, I didn't hesitate. Age and the flashes he showed near the end of the year sold me on him. When I heard Tomlin talk about his training in the off-season, and how he believed he had taken it to the next ...

Re: Dereck Carr progress

He has NOBODY to throw to, and no running game. He has a bunch of practice squad caliber receivers and running backs that peaked 3 years ago. Give him a few years. The fact he threw for 4 TD's in a game with these receivers and RB's is amazing. Hold Carr for years. He's 23. Five years from now he'll...

Re: Gurley tore his ACL

Which players would people consider taking at 1.02 if not Gurley? What's your argument or your case for that player? I'll be at 1.04 and I hope he falls. Before Saturday, I would've taken Cooper over Gordon. Not so sure about that now but I think Cooper has the makings of an elite WR. I would think...

Re: Todd Gurley Injured. Possible ACL.

Melvin Gordon is better then Gurley regardless so this possible injury doesn't change much for me. I would still take him 1.01. A torn acl isn't that big of a deal anymore. If it's a Lattimore type injury, then I'd think differently I have the 1.01, and after doing some research, and even before th...

Re: Isaiah Crowell (Please ignore 49ersFaithful80)

Crowell is no doubt the most explosive back on this team, as seen on his 35 yard run. However, his deficiencies as an overall back are becoming more and more apparent, and that is why for now, he is better suited to the backup/change of pace role. West is the best all around running back on this tea...

Re: Todd Gurley Injured. Possible ACL.

Well, I have the 1.01 next year, and was thinking Gurley. After tonight's display by Gordon, even if Gurley was healthy, I would strongly consider Melvin. He does nothing but produce, and may have a better build to stay healthy, long term compared to Todd. Both great backs. Gurley is 15 months young...
