Re: David Njoku or Cooper Kupp?

For me, it's Njoku -- and it's not even close. Slot WRs tend not to have lasting power despite a successful season here or there. Kupp's ceiling is limited anyway, and you have a start-2WR league and 0.5 PPR, thereby devaluing Kupp that much more. Njoku could easily become a TE1 within 2 years. Easi...

Re: ARob vs Mixon or 1.07 (poll)

Non PPR IDP league (team 1). Had an offer centered around ARob for MB...but I have zero interest in owning shares of MB. Where do you value ARob in comparison to Mixon? In comparison to a late first plus a few pieces (like Gerald Everett, PRich, or maybe Chris Godwin)? 1. Who is MB? 2. I'm confused...

Re: LeVeon Bell considering retiring

I usually look at it if a guy has an issue with $10mil+, even in the short term, he cannot afford to retire (in his mind, or bad with money). From ESPN: Bell is comfortable with his legacy in the game and makes clear he cares more about setting a precedent for running backs than earning a few extra...

Re: Have 7 1st's- Possible Trades

I would do trades 1 AND 2.

You could offer 1.03 instead of 1.04 to one of the guys to see what else you could get back (or remove a player on your side). Do 'em both!!

Re: Jon gruden and amari Cooper

I did find this chart elsewhere, though. Looks like there might be reason for optimism with Cooper (though still a crapshoot in the end!): GRUDEN'S LEADING WIDE RECEIVERS 1998 Tim Brown, Oak. 81 1,012 9 1999 Tim Brown, Oak. 90 1,344 6 2000 Tim Brown, Oak. 76 1,128 11 2001 Tim Brown, Oak. 91 1,165 10...

Re: 1.02 or Freeman

Thank you, everyone. You have a tremendous help -- and frustration! :)

The arguments both for and against echo my thinking, hence my indecision. I do appreciate the reminder of the value of proven players, something that I tend to champion.

I'll keep waffling :).

Re: Jon gruden and amari Cooper

Let's be honest: It's entirely an unknown. Gruden's offenses in the past have been quite good and also quite ordinary. But, he hasn't had a young and talented QB like Carr AND a young and talented WR like Cooper in the past. And Gruden hasn't coached for a long time; what his offense will look like ...

Re: Buy Low WR1 Candidates

In his ages 29-31 seasons, Fitzgerald went 71/798/2, 82/954/10, and 63/784/2. Take out the 10-TD outlier season, and Fitz looked washed up and done. He was able to re-make his game and adapt to an improved QB situation (though still not great by any means) and make himself a high-WR2 to WR1 over the...

1.02 or Freeman

For Team 1 in sig (2QB league), 1.02 for Freeman could be on the table. Thoughts?

Thank you!

Re: Buy-low on potential studs

@OP: Is this thread helpful, or should we be focusing on bona fide studs as you asked? Very helpful. It is always interesting to know which productive players are expected to increase their values, according to community. Great. Just wanted to be sure that you were getting what you were looking for...

Re: Tion Green

He has shown more of the one-cut, down-hill running ability than Zenner or Washington, and Abdullah and Riddick both like try to create. Not saying that he is going to be a future Jerome Bettis-stud, but Det seems to be looking for that kind of complimentary player while not prioritizing that in the...

Re: Aaron Rodgers getting released???

Funny corollary: From Mike McCarthy's press conference today, talking about an offensive lineman who got injured (knee) in the game yesterday immediately after discussing Rodger's IR status (and how the league approved it): “A serious injury. When he gets back here Wednesday, we’ll probably talk abo...

Re: Aaron Rodgers getting released???

From the local Milwaukee paper, giving a practical response rather than a letter-of-the-law response. It's a non-starter, folks. Though perhaps fun to pipe-dream about it... "This claim (as reported by ESPN.com) that the Packers should have to release Aaron Rodgers when he’s healthy because they vio...
