Re: Alshon vs Baldwin

Bald is sexy, but Baldwin is not. That's why you're not excited. Still, I'd prefer Baldwin to Alshon straight-up, let alone getting Njoku over Parker. Last year, Baldwin had more catches and yards and one fewer TD than Jeffery. Over the past three years, Baldwin's has had no fewer than 75 catches, 9...

Re: WR Scarcity

It's the evolution of the passing game (and offense in general, not in small part due to protecting the QB and additional penalties on defensive players). Look at Denver's passing game over the past few years (post-Manning in his heyday): standard two WRs with a blocking TE and a RB. That's actually...

Re: Which bottom tier QB would you prefer to have in a SF league?

I don't get it about Taylor. If he is really that good, then Buffalo would not have let him go. If he is really that good, then they would have gotten far more than a third-round pick for him. If he is really that good, then Cleveland would not use either of its top-4 picks on a QB. We'll know for s...

Re: Which bottom tier QB would you prefer to have in a SF league?

I'm in the middle rounds of a superflex startup, and I'm trying to determine which of the bottom tier QBs is safest ? I have Luck, Mahomes, and Rookie pick 1.05 so far, but I want to add one more. Which of these guys would you pair with the two I already have and very likely a rookie QB? Flacco is ...

Re: Julio value

I took over a superflex orphan, team three in my sig, and am looking to move Julio for either a QB or a bunch of picks. I'm trying to figure out QB value for super flex, if I went after say Goff or Mariota what would their side have to add on top of it? Both teams have late first round picks so I c...

Re: Trade 1.01 in Dynasty League startup?..what picks could I get?

Yes, I would make this trade. Is the player that you are going to get at 1.01 the without-a-doubt best player? Will he be THAT much better than the comparable player at 1.12? And are that certain that he is going to remain a stud for the next 5+ years? There is no player, IMO, that fits all three of...

Re: 12 Team Sflex Startup Trade

Were either Rogers or Wentz still on the board at 2.02? If so, then I would have kept the pick. If not, then, given the QBs still available, I'm a fan.

Sell for any 2nd?
I would...even if he is the early season starter, he wont be for long
x2.

It's a fine return for someone that you picked up as a free agent, stashed, and likely has little to no NFL future.

Re: 16 team, 2 qb start, salary cap league

The years on Cousins and Thomas make that the far better value, IMO. As painful as it is to lose Wentz, this seems to me to be a pretty easy call to take the Cousins/Thomas side.

Re: What do you use to measure players values in trades?

It sounds obvious. But, for me, it's about the players. If I like the player that I'm receiving, then I figure out how to make it work; if I don't, then I reject the trade. Rankings help if it's reaaaallllllly close or as a way to potentially gauge what the other guy might think that the market is. ...

Re: How do you guys value startup draft picks?

I'd start with creating tiers for players. If you can drop down within a tier or trade up to another tier without dropping too far later on, then that's worth considering. I also look at targeted players that I think will be drafted far too late. Say that I think that Player X is a top-10 WR, but al...

Re: Shedding WR depth for picks or young RB's

Honestly, I'm not sure why you're so eager to sell. You have great starters AND great depth at both RB and WR. Why sell short?

Re: Need Some Direction

I think that you're in purgatory. Your QBs are passable but not special. Your starting RBs are fantastic. Your WRs are weak in a start-2WR league. Your TEs are weak, as well, and you have little chance of immediate impact from the draft. Yes, your lineup is good enough to compete for a playoff spot,...

Re: start up dynasty trade advice

Honestly, you'll know at 1.09 which is better. By value, it's more than fair. Here's the rub: IMO, the top 3 picks (at least) should be QBs. On the other hand, most leagues tend not to draft QBs that high. If you are confident that one of the top 3 QBs will fall to 1.09, then this is a snap-accept. ...
