Re: Time to buy Jared Goff in superflex?

Maxhyde. I think that bsp27 is more focused on public perception of Goff and how that perception would / could result in his value / price dropping. I don't think it makes a ton of sense but I do understand that lots of people are very shallow with their depth of thought, easily influenced, and are...

Re: Anyone in Return Yardage Leagues? Who’s worth rostering?

Most weeks it isn't worth the trouble of starting a returner unless they are a valuable player already in any of my leagues. Obviously how returns are scored makes a difference but generally not a significant difference...not enough to chase a guy anyway

Fresh off one of the worst passing performances in Super Bowl history, Goff's price is likely going to dip by quite a bit. Should we be buying?
Not sure it will matter at all. Most leagues don't extend into the playoffs so impact to his value will be minimal if anything

Re: Is Barkley the ultimate sell high?

I wouldn't actively be trying to trade him but if I got a godfather offer I suppose I would move on. Like others have said he is as good a fantasy player as we have seen in the past decade or more I think so trading him as a rebuilder to become more competitive maybe a solid choice but as a contende...

Re: Rookie Draft Age Factor

I try to draft good players that I think have a good skillset for the NFL and age only becomes a factor if I need a tie breaker. Same way a 40 time might be used to choose between guys, height/weight, or any other attribute I consider important at a position. Age is a factor but not the most importa...

Re: Retirement

This probably more appropriately belongs in the off topic section, but WTH.. I just handed over the reins to my only remaining dynasty team yesterday and am retiring from the game. This past season was my 30th so the timing felt right. It also came during the most promising year in Cleveland since ...

Re: Single Table or Divisions

We abandoned divisions once we discovered the beauty of double-headers. In a 12-team league, we can play a 22-game double round-robin schedule with everyone playing everyone else twice in just 11 weeks. That leaves us a full five weeks for the postseason, so we play a one-week quarterfinal with two...

Superflex. Time will tell.

Gave: Mayfield
Got: Wentz
I far prefer Wentz even with the back to back seasons ending hurt. Great deal for you

Re: Is Mahomes the ultimate sell high?

I would absolutely sell if I am getting QB1 price on him...assuming that QB1 value is worth something in the league. Especially if I am getting a top 10 QB + another very capable starting piece. This is exactly how I like to build depth on my fantasy teams. Costs next-to-nothing and you gain an extr...

Re: Draft QB or trust Mariota/Trubisky?

If it's a start one, package Mariota and just go buy an "old" guy like Rivers, Ben, Ryan, Stafford, etc. In a 10 teamer, you'll likely be able to land one of them cheaper than it would cost to get a top 2 rookie qb in your draft. This is what I think I would do. Buy a Brees/Ben/Rivers for cheaper a...

Re: Investing in 1.01 for the draft run up

In general but I would be surprised if that were true any year there is a definitive consensus 1.01 or even a pair of worthy players. Those values typically start high and stay high.

I'd say buy to flip may not be worth it but depends on the league and who ends up at the top of the draft

Re: The Real Lamar Jackson Thread

Jackson related question. I just acquired Mark Andrews as an add in on a trade. He was the TE14 while Lamar was starting. Has he shown chemistry with L Jax? Is this the type of situation where not the best arm talent leads to throwing to TE more than the perimeter WRs? Possibly but the problem is j...

Re: The Real Lamar Jackson Thread

I was never on Jackson as a top end QB. However I do think he can be an effective fantasy QB I just don't see how he can continue to run/scramble and not get hurt. It seems inevitable in the NFL. See Mariota/RG3 for premier examples of QB's that run, get hurt and take longer to develop their passing...

Re: League Winner Quit the League... What to do?

You either let a new owner take over or do a whole new startup. As for going from 10 to 12, you basically put that to a vote and let the league decide. If you do, then you definitely do a new startup. This is my thought too. If you are all worried about a new owner having a stacked team maybe time ...

Re: Single Table or Divisions

I like no divisions especially if divisions are (part of) how playoff positions are decided. I think the top 6 is the top six...not 4 division winners and 2 WC...almost never the top 6. Also playing "divisional opponents" more often means stronger division owners end up eating from each others bowl....
