Re: Houston QB situation

I've watched Fitzpatrick a lot being in Buffalo. The guy is a smart QB with underrated running skills. Unfortunately he doesn't have anywhere close to an NFL arm. He has to put everything he has into a throw to have any sort of velocity (I've literally seen him leap into some throws to gain extra po...

Re: Is ANYONE not down on Randle?

Right, I don't think I'd give up a 2015 first for Randle, but I'm guessing he can be had for less at this point.

Re: Is ANYONE not down on Randle?

I think he's a great buy low target or a hold if you have him. I know people are high on OBJ, but he's a rookie under a coach that makes them earn their time on the field. Its expecting a lot for Beckham to come in and command Eli's attention. Plus, Nicks is gone and there's going to be a lot of tar...

Re: Value of future picks

I'm not sure how this is short sighted at all. All I did was state facts. -If you trade a current pick for a future pick, the value of that pick is tied up for another year. That pick will not turn into a player that can help your roster until the following year. It's just like when you go to a ban...

Re: Value of future picks

I personally have never understood why current picks are worth more than next years picks. It's not like they go bad over time, come next year, 2015 picks will be just as good as 2014 picks were this year in a vacuum. The whole argument that you don't know where the 2015 picks will fall is stupid s...

and all they have to do is stop smoking weed This is just wrong. Gordon can't (won't) stop smoking the pot. Blackmon has an alcohol problem. Believe it or not, it's tougher to kick an alcohol problem than it is weed. Alcohol has been known to ruin peoples lives. Weed gives people the munchies. My m...

Re: Watkins 6'0 3/4" 211lbs.

Yeah, situation is definitely more of a factor for RBs. Likely because the career of your average tailback is so short that being drafted to a poor situation can scuttle the career of anybody except a true stud. I think the difference between this year's and last year's crop is that the WR class is ...

Re: Watkins 6'0 3/4" 211lbs.

I have two picks the top five and will probably go WR with both of them even though I have a major need at RB. None of the backs in this year's class seem worth the high pick.

Oh, huh. Had never heard that until I read the blurb. Seemed in poor taste to me, but I suppose if its in the lexicon then its forgivable.

Re: Why I kinda hate Rotoworld...

Blurb on Kenbrell Thompkins today: The Boston Globe calls Kenbrell Thompkins' Week 1 performance "pretty awful in several areas." Thompkins showed "very little awareness" en route to a 4/42/0 line on 14 targets. Per the Globe, he double-clutched his catches, slipped on multiple o...

I have Jenkins in one league and offered him to the Baldwin owner. If the Chiefs and the Niners thought it was a good idea, who am I to argue?

Thanks for the advice guys. Turns out I missed an e-mail - the offer had been revoked before I even saw it, actually.

Valuing Players When Rebuilding

I was recently offered Fitzgerald for my Montee Ball and Michael Floyd. I feel Fitz could have another several years of elite production. Ball, I believe, could jump out to a productive early career, but I doubt he sustains in the long term. I have high long term hopes for Floyd - I think he's capab...

Re: 2013 Fantasy flips

Chris Ivory's got the talent, but I don't trust his health, nor do I trust the Jets to surround him with competent talent in the long term. Montee Ball might take a little bit for him to get going with Hillman possibly forcing an early season committee. But after Peyton retires I don't think he has ...

Re: Lamar Miller or Demarco Murray?

I like both but for same reasons as you I prefer Miller. Agree vision better. Miller isn't quite the receiver out of backfield Murray is but he has promise. Checkout how Miller runs inside. He shortens his steps lifts his knees , uses his vision and just bursts in small tight areas [/i]. Miller has...
