Now its about race? Ok....
I'm just being real. Mara whining at Beckham's discontent while refusing to face facts regarding Eli is absolutely influenced by race. White baby-boomers have... tendencies. In these situations.

Re: Giants tired of OBJ

Too bad. He's paid. And now very difficult to trade. Regardless, a diva WR of Beckham's talents is worth the aggravation. QB and the O-line are the problem. Eli doesn't have the arm anymore to make every throw, which is restricting his decision-making and the offense in general, and he often doesn't...

Re: Devonta Freeman placed on I.R. (foot)

Freeman's a buy-low for win-now rosters looking ahead to '19. *IF* Coleman leaves Atlanta, this lost season is only going to make Freeman fresher and more ready to be a workload monster next year. '19 is the final season Freeman's dead-cap hit is greater than his cap hit, so if Atlanta chooses to mi...

Re: Gesicki or Hurst

Gesicki has the athletic upside to be a monster, and his age makes me less nervous than Hurst's, who really needs to start his career fast to pay off as a 1st round pick. That said, the tape analyst in me prefers Hurst. His hands are extremely reliable, and his workout scores belie his athletic grac...

All attention is on Jones coming out of the bye, but I can imagine Barber finally busting out tomorrow instead, ruining everything.
AND that's exactly what happened.

Re: Peyton Barber or Ito

Barber is a starting running-back, and too much has been made of the Week 1-4 box-scores without awareness that all four of those defenses are elite against the run. Ito is a soon-to-be third-string RB that can only hope to be a 2nd-string RB next year. And even beyond that, he's a satellite-back. S...

Re: Ronald Jones II value

I would give a projected late 2nd / early 3rd for him right now. Terrible drop in value since July, I know, but it's not rational to pay more than that right now. We'll see how he looks tomorrow. All attention is on Jones coming out of the bye, but I can imagine Barber finally busting out tomorrow i...

Re: Week VI Discussion Thread

You sure you don't just hate Darnold on principle because he's the guy for the other team sharing MetLife Stadium? :P

Darnold's barely 21. He's been excellent by traditional rookie QB standards, and flashes his Pro Bowler level tools and potential every week. This despite playing with a talent-starved pass-catching corps and O-line that does him no favors, complemented by a mediocre run-game aside from that nuclear...

Re: Week VI Discussion Thread

Barkley's a generational stud, but the Giants still should have drafted Darnold, considering '19's QB class is projected to be a big step down from '18's. Superstar RBs don't carry teams the way QBs can. LT, Peterson, Charles, McCoy... so dominant in their prime, and yet their teams never made it to...

Re: Week VI Discussion Thread

These days, Alshon Jeffery looks and plays like a tweener tight-end that never has his hand in the dirt. No way he's still ~215lbs. I think he's pushing 230 right now.

Fortunately, Wentz seems to prefer throwing to guys like that.

Re: Week VI Discussion Thread

Smh @ the people that thought Barkley on the Giants was a disaster for his value. A dual-threat, game-script immune generational talent like Barkley would be a fantasy stud on practically any team. Maybe the Giants selecting him was a bad real football move, but for our purposes it's just fine. Only...

Re: Bo Scarbrough

He didn't look slow to me, or labored in his movement (i.e. a plodder). He did look like a guy that doesn't have much instinct, or the patience to follow his blockers. He doesn't run low enough and he can't just rely on plowing through NFL tacklers like he did in college. At minimum, Scarbrough need...

Re: Talk me through the SEA RB situation...

Schottenheimer has the Hawks running the ball 60% of the time, which is ridiculous in 2018. And he has Wilson sprinting downfield as an open-field blocker after the hand-off. Carson and Davis have performed legitimately well on the tape I've perused. I figure they will continue to be viable ...

Re: David Moore Anyone?

Stashed him right before his mini breakout last week. 8-) If Schottenheimer ever remembers the year is 2018 and not 1988 and thus lets Wilson throw the ball again, I think Moore could be pretty good eventually. Decent size, very good play-strength, good straight-line speed, can get some yards after ...
