Re: What is the best kind of league and why

Any suggestions as to what to do to try stopping Tanking? I would think you just make the commissioner "god" and have him go with his gut as to if tanking is happening. That would end up being me but I know I would do what is right for the league even if it hurt me and I have some pretty stand up g...

Re: Auction Draft Advice

They can be totally random, so the only thing I'd suggest is to avoid spending a decent chunk of money on "maybe" players. Don't be afraid to spend money on players that you know are good. Thanks! Agreed on that for sure. What are your thoughts on how much tracking and data entry to do during the a...

Re: Why do we value in draft picks?

That is a good way to communicate player values but good luck changing how crowds of people act.

I think GG is correct - rookie draft picks is the most common currency when trading players, so it's natural to use them as the value equivalent to veteran players.

Re: Flacco to the Broncos

To play devil's advocate, who is available that might have been better: Eli??? Bortles??? Bridgewater? FitzMagic?? A rookie? BDN? Not a lot of good options. Foles is probably better, imho. The others? Not so much. I'd stick with Keenum and draft a rookie with the first rounder. Focus on the o-line ...

Re: Flacco to the Broncos

Flacco 2016: 437-673 (68%), 4317 yards, 20 TDs, 15 INTs
Flacco 2017: 352-549 (64%), 3141 yards, 18 TDs, 13 INTs

Keenum 2018: 365-586 (62%), 3890 yards, 18 TDs, 15 INTs

Why assume Flacco, changing teams, would be an upgrade?

(Stats for Flacco's last two full seasons, Keenum's last full season)

Re: Flacco to the Broncos

Flacco is an upgrade? No way.

I'd rather go with Keenum + a rookie. They can still draft a rookie. But Flacco is no reason for optimism in Denver's offense.

Re: What to make of the AB situation?

Here's the teams with the most cap space. The Colts would sure be a fun landing spot to team up with Luck & TY Hilton.

Re: What to make of the AB situation?

As an AB owner, him leaving is great for his value. If Big Ben retired in a year or two his value would plummet. But if he ends up on a team like SF with Jimmy GQ as his QB for the next 5 years then his value will stay as is, if not go up. Go up? That's a huge stretch. I hope he ends up with a team...

Drew Bennett easily takes the top spot, not even close. Bonus points if you had the stack with Volek. Honkey Power!!!!
Bad memories of that. The Volek/Bennett combo narrowly beat me in the playoffs. I was killing it with Trent Green/Tony Gonzalez that year til the 6th seed knocked me out.

Re: There's real football on this weekend (AAF)!

I think the AAF looked good this weekend. We'll see if it remains viable for more than a few seasons, but they have some good ideas for rule tweaks. The XFL is the real long shot. I don't trust Vince McMahon to do football correctly as he already had a disaster league and now he's starting a year la...

What is the most # of players that rush a QB regardless? Say on a Blitz?
I read that the defense can have a max of five players within 2 yards on the LOS (except for DBs covering WRs). Only those can pass rush unless the offense runs a play action pass.

Re: Should You Reward An Offensive Player Making A Tackle After A Turnover?

Here's something that happened to me this season that kind of pissed me off. I was playing against a receiver that fumbled the ball (minus 2 psts, whooohoooo). The defender that stripped the ball recovered the fumble but since the receiver was touching him when he recovered the fumble, the receiver...

Greg Olsen?
He's publicly said he'll play this year but we'll see on that. It's guy to be tiring to be injured so much.
