The 1st round draft picks are the way I would go. Even if you don't like next year's crop of players those picks will still have value and you could use those to trade for young, but proven players to help you rebuild. Asking for the 2.05 is excessive. I think even without it you're on the winning end, but if he has that rookie fever he may do it. If you can get more then by all means take it.

No way should you take that trade. Brees is nice to have, but Blount is far below MJD while Ben isn't far enough from Brees to even consider it. Blount could possibly end up on the bench next season.

I really like the RB class as a whole this year. Personally, right now, I have Lamar Miller rated above both Martin and Polk though. It will be interesting seeing where each running back lands in the draft and what there situations will be.

What does his roster look like? I'm not sure you even need to make a trade. In a 2 QB league, you might be able to take Luck at #1 and TRich could slip to #3, especially if he badly needs a QB. If RGIII blows people away at the combine, like many think he will, it could make that #2 pick the landin...
