Re: Bryan Edwards
Scrolling back, you’ll see I was among the Edwards truthers in August. With having to cut 40 percent of our roster each summer prior to restocking via the rookie/free agent draft, he looks to now be on our roster bubble. Still 4+ months to decide, but at this point it looks like the last keeper may ...

Re: Your biggest regret in Rookie Drafts?
Two in the 2017 draft: Fournette over Cook, and the wrong Desh(one/aun) — Kizer over Watson ... I could explain the thinking on that one, but why bother? Then again, Mahomes, Kamara and Godwin at picks 10, 20, and 30, respectively, in the same draft kinda made up for it. If we’d come out of that wit...

Re: Fournette - what to do with him
We pretty much all know he is under 4 YPC for his career. I see a Eddie Lacy type player . Looks like a one contract player type to me. He could be all those things but Leonard's don't often change their spots.... Precisely the comparison we made when we bit the bullet and took him second...

Re: Bryan Edwards
Edwards over Reagor is too cute by half. Hope it works out for you. Thanks. We honestly didn’t devote a single minute to discussing any interest in Reagor, since we knew we weren’t taking him at 1.08 and knew he should be off the board by the time we got another chance to consider him. He’d have ce...

Re: Bryan Edwards
WARNING: our rookie/free agent draft (10-team superflex) should in no way be considered a model. Weird things happen every round, as people often reach for need over talent, and the mindset is RB-heavy. This year’s version took place last night. Heading into it, we ID’d Edwards as a “must have” amo...

Re: Preston Williams Hype Train
I heard he dropped a TD. Didn't see it so not sure how bad it was. Hopefully a little more efficient next week. He got stripped by a DB in the end zone. It was disapponting (that’s two TDs this season he’s let slip away by not controlling the ball throughout he play), but it wasn’t your garden vari...

Re: You Can Trade Away RoJo Now... Last Chance?
I appreciate the time and effort that went into compiling this post, and I get all the red flags Jones has raised since he was drafted. Nevertheless, I see a six-yard gain on second-and-3 that might've been a touchdown if Godwin makes a better block. Do you have film of the previous play when Jones ...

Re: Ronnie Jones
where does he fall in rookie drafts as of now? looking to buy low potentially like giving pettis for rojo? or would you keep pettis ? Not that my league’s draft should be considered a model (weird things happen, and frequently), but I just got him three nights ago at 18th overall. He wasn’t on my r...

Re: Final Roster Spot: Shepard or Godwin?
I appreciate the input. Sure, ideally I wouldn't have to resort to cutting either, and I won't drag everyone through the sorry details of how trade-averse this league tends to be. Whoever I cut will be high on my list when we reload back to 25 through the draft in about two weeks. Thanks, everyone.

Re: Final Roster Spot: Shepard or Godwin?
My thoughts exatly. The only thing I would add is that I would also cut Dez over either one. The other decisions have been made. The question is Shepard or Godwin. having this be a question makes us question what other decisions you made. seems like you gotta have a better option but you arent givi...

Re: Final Roster Spot: Shepard or Godwin?
Unless you’re specifically talking about this season only, Godwin’s ceiling is MUCH higher than Shepard’s. That said, there are several names on that roster I’d cut before Shepard or Godwin. Is Eddie Lacy even on a team? Regardless of whether it’s Trent or Taywan, I’d cut Taylor before either of th...

Final Roster Spot: Shepard or Godwin?
Facing a Wednesday cut deadline for the roster below. I'm down to deciding between Shepard and Godwin for the final spot. I see similar ceilings, but the Godwin buzz has me hesitant to toss him back into the pool. Sometimes I'll resort to draft stock to make the call (Shepard was our first-round pic...

Re: Any league out there older than 39 years?
I'm one of six remaining original owners in a redraft league that started in 1987. On the night of the first draft, I was the youngest guy in the room. Now I'm somewhere around the median age. The current commissioner was around 9 or 10 the first time his dad brought him to the draft. For the first ...

Re: Rookie QB Rankings
Honestly, "path to immediate playing time" is a bit of a red flag for me. Last year, I spent picks 8 and 10 on Kizer and Mahomes (felt they had the most upside of all the QBs in the class). One is now primed to take the next step in his development, while the other is already barely roste...
